NEA-Alaska President's Leave. A teacher who is elected president of NEA-Alaska shall be granted a leave of absence without pay for two (2) full school years. Notice of the leave must be given in writing to the Superintendent within ten (10) days of the election, but in no event shall the notice be given later than May 1, proceeding the year of the leave. Otherwise, the right to the leave shall have been waived. The District's portion of the teacher's retirement system contributions will be reimbursed to the District by NEA-Alaska within thirty (30) days of the date of any payment. TRS eligibility must be approved by the TRS.

NEA-Alaska President's Leave. A tenured teacher who is elected president of NEA-Alaska shall be granted leave with pay and fringe benefits for a period not to exceed four (4) years. The leave shall be for two (2) complete school years, may be renewed for two (2) additional complete school years, but cannot be taken in conjunction with any other leave. NEA-Alaska shall fully reimburse the District for the teacher’s salary and benefit costs. TRS eligibility is subject to state rules governing retirement benefits. A teacher on such leave of absence must give written notice to the Superintendent by April 1 of the year the leave expires of his/her intention to return on the first day of the following school year or resign. Failure to furnish such notice shall constitute a notice of resignation. The teacher shall be entitled to return to his/her same position if it is vacant or to the first vacant position, as determined by the Human Resources Department for which he/she is certificated and qualified. When a teacher is granted such leave of absence, he/she shall, upon reemployment, retain only the following employment rights held by him/her before such leave was granted:

  • President’s Leave The Employer shall authorize a leave of absence with pay for the President of the Association. The leave of absence with pay shall be taken for a two-year period beginning two (2) weeks after written notice by the Association to the Bureau of Employee Relations and the newly-elected President’s agency. During such leave of absence with pay, the President shall continue to receive and retain all of his/her wages, rights, benefits, and seniority as a state employee except that all leave accumulation shall be frozen for the duration of the leave of absence. Upon returning from the leave of absence, the President shall resume earning leave at the rates appropriate to his/her service at the time of return. The Employer agrees that there shall be no action taken with respect to the President or the President’s state position prior to or following his/her return from the leave of absence because of his/her legal union activities. The Association agrees to reimburse the Employer for the full cost of the wages and benefits for the President, and to indemnify the Employer against any and all liabilities associated with the leave of absence, including but not limited to workers' compensation.

  • Leave, President, O.N.A Upon application in writing by the Association on behalf of the nurse to the Hospital, a leave of absence shall be granted to such nurse elected to the office of President of the Ontario Nurses' Association for a period of up to three (3) consecutive two (2) year terms. Notwithstanding Article 10.04, there shall be no loss of service or seniority for a nurse during such leave of absence. During such leave of absence, the nurse's salary and applicable benefits shall be maintained by the Hospital and the Association agrees to reimburse the Hospital in the amount of the full cost of such salary and applicable benefits. It is understood, however, that during such leave the nurse shall be deemed to be an employee of the Ontario Nurses' Association. The nurse agrees to notify the Hospital of her or his intention to return to work at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of such return.

  • President Unless the Trustees otherwise provide, the President shall preside at all meetings of the shareholders and of the Trustees. Unless the Trustees otherwise provide, the President shall be the chief executive officer.

  • The President the Treasurer and the Secretary shall be elected by the Trustees upon the occurrence of any vacancy in any such office. Other officers, if any, may be elected or appointed by the Trustees at any time. Vacancies in any such other office may be filled at any time.

  • Chairman An individual (who need not be a Registered Warrantholder) designated in writing by the Warrant Agent shall be chairman of the meeting and if no individual is so designated, or if the individual so designated is not present within fifteen minutes from the time fixed for the holding of the meeting, the Registered Warrantholders present in person or by proxy shall choose an individual present to be chairman.

  • Chairman and Secretary The Local Union shall select the Union representatives and the Chapter shall select the management representatives.
