OBJECTS AND COMMITMENTS. It is proposed to include objects and commitments in the Agreement which enable SA Health and employees to contribute to a dynamic, productive, flexible and responsive dental health service; to meet the service delivery objectives of SA Health and SA Dental; and to support and develop a capable, flexible and mobile dental workforce. The hourly rates payable professional care obligations concerning patient care and the clinical practice of dentistry and specialist dentistry in conjunction with the management and delivery of specialist dental services.

OBJECTS AND COMMITMENTS. 4.1 The objects of this Agreement are:
OBJECTS AND COMMITMENTS. Clause 4 has been updated to include provisions to reflect medical officer- specific objects and commitments. A new clause regarding Criteria Led Discharge has been included which introduces a commitment between SA Health and the Association to the improvement of patient discharge rates through the introduction of criteria led discharge where medically appropriate. The clause provides for the object of achieving an improvement of not less than 10% (inclusive of weekends) during the life of the Agreement, and makes provision for the formation of a committee to develop and implement appropriate strategies to achieve this object. The process, principles and implementation of criteria led discharge agreed between the parties will ensure patient care and safety is maintained and will be consistent with the professional responsibilities and obligations required of medical officers to patients and the community. There is recognition of the commitment by the Association and the employees covered by the Agreement to this new clause by way of an additional 1% per annum salary increase to be paid in conjunction with the other salary increases outlined in clause 6. Clause 5 Consultation There is an equivalent clause in the current Agreement which provides a commitment to a number of consultative principles.

The process, principles and implementation of criteria lead discharge agreed between the parties will ensure patient care and safety is maintained and will be consistent with the professional responsibilities and obligations required of medical officers to patients and the community.
