Offer of Position. A. The Agency shall, in accordance with 5 C.F.R. § 351, if possible, offer an assignment to each employee adversely affected through the implementation of a RIF or TOF. Consistent with 5 C.F.R. § 351.701 the offer, if made, shall be of a position as close as possible to, but not higher than, the current grade of the affected employee, and the position shall be in the same competitive area. Employees adversely affected by a RIF or TOF may request, in writing, that they be assigned to a particular continuing position meeting the provisions in the previous sentence. An employee is restricted to making such a request only one time; the request can be made only after the retention registers have been completed. Such an employee request will be answered within ten (10) days. These employee requests will not be grievable under the Negotiated Grievance Procedure if the request is rejected by the Agency.

Offer of Position. 1. To the extent required by applicable law, rule or regulation, the Employer shall endeavor to make a best offer of employment to each employee adversely affected through implementation of the RIF procedures. The offer, if made, shall be of a position as close as possible to, but not higher than, the current grade of the affected employee, and the position shall be within the employee's competitive area.
Offer of Position. A. The Agency shall make a best offer of employment to each employee adversely affected by the reduction-in-force consistent with FPM Chapter 351. An offer, if made, shall be to a position with either no reduction in grade or pay, or with the least reduction possible in consideration of positions available, employee qualifications, and the retention standing of other competing employees.
Offer of Position a. The employer shall ensure each employee receives their right of assignment when adversely affected by the RIF consistent with 5 CFR Part 351 or other appropriate procedures or guidance. Failure to respond within the specified time period shall be considered a declination of the offer. The specified time period for employee‟s written response will be five workdays after the delivery of the specific notice.
Offer of Position. Once a decision is made to appoint an internal candidate to a vacant position, the employee will be offered the position in writing. This offer should include conditions of the new position including the requirement to complete a trial period in the position (usually 3 months).

  • Abandonment of Position An employee who fails to report for duty for three consecutive working days without informing the Employer of the reason for their absence will be presumed to have abandoned their position. An employee will be afforded the opportunity within 10 days to rebut such presumption and demonstrate that there were reasonable grounds for not informing the Employer.

  • Reclassification of Position An employee shall not have her salary reduced by reason of a change in the classification of her position that is caused other than by the employee herself.
