Orientation and Skills Maintenance. Nurses shall receive orientation 2 and training upon hire to include but not limited to the patient population and setting, 3 clinical procedures, regulatory compliance and general agency procedures. All nurses 4 new to the agency will be assigned a preceptor for a time period that is mutually agreed 5 upon between the manager and the nurse. The Agency will take into consideration the 6 nurse’s previous clinical experience, skills and expressed needs in determining 7 individualized orientation which shall be sufficient to allow the nurse to reach core 8 competency.
