Other Vacation Scheduling. Except in extraordinary circumstances, requests for vacation time other than during June 15th to September 15th, must be submitted in writing at least two (2) weeks prior to the posting of the schedule covering the vacation time requested. The Nurse shall be notified at least one (1) week in advance of the vacation time if the vacation has been approved.

Other Vacation Scheduling. All other vacation leave, including “Block” vacations being scheduled after March 15, shall be scheduled on a first-come first-serve basis, and subject to the City’s reasonable operating needs for efficiency and subject to the supervisor or department head approval.
Other Vacation Scheduling. Employees shall take their annual vacation each year and shall submit their vacation requests to their supervisor on the appropriate form. Management will respond in writing to vacation requests within two weeks and such requests will be approved provided proper shift coverage can be arranged. If Management fails to respond to the request within two weeks, it will be deemed to have been granted.
