Other Work Week Patterns. The normal work week for present full-time employees, as noted above, does not negate the right of the College to establish other work week patterns for either vacant or newly budgeted positions. Such additional work week patterns shall provide at least thirty-five (35) hours per week with one (1) hour for lunch/dinner daily for Secretarial/Clerical jobs or at least forty (40) hours per week with one-half (1/2) hour for lunch/dinner daily for Custodians, Craftsworkers, Groundsworkers, HPE Attendants, and Security Guards.

When it is in the interest of the College to change a non-vacant position’s start time by no more than one hour, the affected employee will be provided written notice forty- five (45) business days in advance of the change. This schedule change may not be used to reduce an employee’s established total weekly work hours. An individual employee’s schedule can be changed once every three (3) years. For the purpose of crucial operational needs, a temporary adjustment of work schedule may be implemented on an as needed basis by management. Any temporary adjustment to work hours will be provided to the employee in writing at least 72 hours in advance and a temporary schedule adjustment will remain in place for no more than two (2) weeks. A permanent schedule change may be implemented with the mutual consent of the association, the employee and the supervisor. A permanent schedule change will be proposed in writing and signed by the Association, the employee and supervisor prior to implementation. The employee shall have the right to consult with representation prior to agreeing to a permanent schedule change.

Related to Other Work Week Patterns

  • OTHER WORK 14.1 Owner may perform other work related to the Project at the site by Owner’s own forces, have other work performed by utility owners or let other direct contracts. If the fact that such other work is to be performed is not noted in the Contract Documents, written notice thereof will be given to Construction Contractor prior to starting any such other work. If Construction Contractor believes that such performance will involve additional expense to Construction Contractor or require additional time, Construction Contractor shall send written notice of that fact to Owner and Design Professional within seven (7) calendar days of being notified of the other work. If Construction Contractor fails to send the above required seven (7) calendar days’ notice, Construction Contractor will be deemed to have waived any rights it otherwise may have had to seek an extension to the Contract Time or adjustment to the Contract Amount. 14.2 Construction Contractor shall afford each utility owner and other contractor who is a party to such a direct contract (or Owner, if Owner is performing the additional work with Owner’s employees) proper and safe access to the site and a reasonable opportunity for the introduction and storage of materials and equipment and the execution of such work and shall properly connect and coordinate its Work with theirs. Construction Contractor shall do all cutting, fitting and patching of the Work that may be required to make its several parts come together properly and integrate with such other work. Construction Contractor shall be responsible for all damage to the work of others caused by the performance of its Work. Further, Construction Contractor shall not in any way cut or alter the work of others without first receiving the written consent of that other person and Design Professional. 14.3 If any part of Construction Contractor’s Work depends for proper execution or results upon the work of any other contractor or utility owner (or Owner), Construction Contractor shall inspect and promptly report to Design Professional in writing any delays, defects or deficiencies in such work that render it unavailable or unsuitable for such proper execution and results. Such report must be made within seven (7) calendar days of the time Construction Contractor first became aware of the delay, defect or deficiency or by the scheduled commencement of Construction Contractor’s dependent Work, whichever occurs first. Construction Contractor’s failure to report within the allotted time will constitute an acceptance of the other work as fit and proper for integration with Construction Contractor’s Work.

  • Summer Work a. This section shall apply only to those employees hired to fill temporary summer positions. b. The District will provide the Association with a list of expected summer work job openings prior to the last day of school. Summer positions shall be included on the District’s website. c. The District shall not fill summer positions with outside employees until bargaining unit members have had at least three (3) working days to submit applications.

  • Unsafe Work Conditions No Employee shall be disciplined for refusal to work on a job which in the opinion of: (a) A member of a safety committee; or (b) A person designated by a safety committee; or (c) A safety officer after an on-site inspection and following discussion with a representative of the Employer, does not meet the standards established pursuant to the Workers' Compensation Act.

  • Standard Work Week The standard work week for full-time employees covered by this Agreement shall be forty (40) hours, exclusive of the time allotted for meal periods, consisting of five (5) consecutive work days followed by two (2) consecutive days off. The week shall commence with the shift that includes 12:01 A.M. Sunday of each calendar week and end at the start of the shift that includes 12:00 midnight the following Saturday. The Employer retains the right to modify the work schedules to meet operational needs.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • THE WORK The Work comprises the completed construction required by the Contract Documents and includes all labor necessary to produce such construction, and all materials and equipment incorporated or to be incorporated in such construction.

  • No Additional Work or Material No claim for additional services, not specifically provided in this contract, performed or furnished by the contractor, will be allowed, nor may the contractor do any work or furnish any material not covered by the contract unless the work or material is ordered in writing by the Project Director and approved by the Agency Head.

  • Regular Work Week The regular work week shall be any five (5) consecutive days, Sunday through Saturday, for a total regular work week of forty (40) working hours, subject to the applicable premiums where provided for in this Agreement. Notwithstanding the above, employees may volunteer to work schedules that fall outside of the regular work week of Sunday through Saturday and may do so, upon approval by the Company, and with no penalty cost to the Company, but with applicable premiums as provided for in this Agreement.

  • Extra Work At any time during the Term of this Agreement, City may request that Consultant perform Extra Work. As used herein, “Extra Work” means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.

  • Day Work The Company shall structure the Project Working Hours to include one (1) half-hour rest break to be taken without deduction of pay by Employees working the Project Working Hours on any day, Monday to Friday.
