Overnight Charters. The School Board will reimburse Bus Drivers for meal and lodging expenses per school board policy #412 – Travel and Expense Reimbursement. Such reimbursement shall be made only after valid receipts are provided, showing the expenses incurred.

Overnight Charters. Where possible, all known overnight multi-day charter work will be posted on a separate multi-day charter work board at least four (4) days in advance of the actual piece of work. The work will be assigned forty-eight (48) hours in advance of the normal sign up procedure. The following rules will govern: (a) Each driver will be responsible to inquire with the dispatcher or view the charter work board in order to learn about and sign for the work available. (b) When known, the dispatcher will advise drivers of overnight multi-day charters when drivers call in to make themselves available for work. Drivers on days off will be notified by the dispatchers of overnight multi-day charters. (c) When an overnight multi-day charter work becomes known in less than four
Overnight Charters. (1) When overnight weekend charters may interfere with a Friday p.m. run, the school bus driver will be allowed the charter, providing the Company can arrange to cover the p.m. school run. (2) Drivers who have an overnight charter assigned will be compensated for the actual driving time for the beginning day. Each second and subsequent day will be paid a minimum of eight (8) hours pay at charter rate each day. The return day shall be at the actual driving time in the a.m., and a minimum of eight (8) hours if the return day is in the p.m., or actual driving time if in excess of eight (8) hours. (3) Drivers on overnight charters shall be entitled to an acceptable single room accommodation.
Overnight Charters. (a) When away from home on a trip that requires the use of toll facilities and/or overnight lodging, the Driver shall be given expense money in advance if she so requests for which she shall account for with receipts. (b) On overnight charters, drivers shall receive a minimum of eight (8) hours or the number of hours actually worked, whichever is greater, of pay at the applicable hourly rate of pay for the outbound leg of the trip, and be paid for their actual hours worked at the applicable hourly rate of pay for the inbound leg of the trip.

Overnight Charters. The School Board will reimburse drivers for actual meal and lodging expenses for extra curricular runs requiring an overnight stay, to a maximum of $25.00 for meals and actual cost for lodging for each twenty four (24) hour period, if the driver is lodged with the group or the School Board makes arrangements for the driver's lodging. Such reimbursement shall be made only after valid receipts are provided, showing the expenses incurred.

If the bus is to stay with the group, the hours spent by the driver with the group shall be included in the actual driving time calculation. The return day will be paid four (4) hours minimum if departure time is prior to 12:00 noon and eight (8) hours minimum if the departure time is after 12:00 noon. b) The Company agrees that when drivers are on trips requiring hotel accommodation, these expenses will be the responsibility of the Company. At all times drivers must stay in compliance with First Students drug and alcohol policy as detailed in the employee handbook. c) All reasonable away expenses must be supported by itemized receipts and submitted for review immediately upon return. Under no circumstances will any receipts containing alcohol charges be reimbursed. d) See Schedule “A” for meal payment.
