Overtime - Early Childhood Educators. The provisions of clause 17.4 apply to all employees employed as Early Childhood Educators. 17.4.1 Subject to 17.4.3 hereof, all work performed in excess of or outside the ordinary working hours prescribed by 16.9 of this Agreement will be paid 17.4.2 Rest period before recommencing work 17.4.2(a) When overtime work including work on a rostered day off or work on a Sunday or holiday are necessary, it will wherever practicable be so arranged that an employee works not more than sixteen hours in any period of 24 consecutive hours. 17.4.2(b) Subject to the exception referred to in 17.4.5(b) hereof as to call-backs of less than three hours, when an employee finishes a period of work he or she will, subject to this subclause, be released until he or she has had eight consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for the Employee’s ordinary working time occurring during such absence.

Overtime - Early Childhood Educators. (a) The provisions of clause 24.9 apply to all employees employed as Early Childhood Educators i. Subject to this clause, all work performed in excess of or outside the ordinary working hours will be paid for at the rate of time and a half for the first two hours on any day and at a rate of double time thereafter, such double time to continue until the completion of the overtime work. (b) Rest period before recommencing work i. When overtime work including work on a rostered day off or work on a Sunday or holiday are necessary, it will wherever practicable be so arranged that an employee works not more than sixteen hours in any period of 24 consecutive hours. ii. Subject to the exception referred to in clause 24.9(e)(ii) hereof as to call-backs of less than three hours, when an employee finishes a period of work he or she will, subject to this subclause, be released until he or she has had eight consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for his/her ordinary working time occurring during such absence. iii. If on the instructions of his/her employer, such an employee resumes or continues work without having had such eight consecutive hours off duty he/she will be paid at the rate of double time until he/she will then be entitled to be absent until he/she has had eight consecutive hours off duty without loss of pay for his ordinary working time occurring during such absence.

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Pregnancy and Maternity Services This plan covers physician services and the services of a licensed midwife for prenatal, delivery, and postpartum care. The first office visit to diagnose a pregnancy is not included in prenatal services. This plan covers hospital services for mother and newborn child for at least forty-eight

  • Overtime Eligibility An Employee must work at least fifteen (15) minutes beyond her normal shift before being eligible for overtime compensation.

  • Special Maternity Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who: (i) fails to satisfy the eligibility requirement specified in subparagraph 17.02(a)(ii) solely because a concurrent entitlement to benefits under the Disability Insurance (DI) Plan, the Long term Disability (LTD) Insurance portion of the Public Service Management Insurance Plan (PSMIP) or the Government Employees Compensation Act prevents her from receiving Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance Plan maternity benefits, and (ii) has satisfied all of the other eligibility criteria specified in paragraph 17.02(a), other than those specified in sections (A) and (B) of subparagraph 17.02(a)(iii), shall be paid, in respect of each week of maternity allowance not received for the reason described in subparagraph (i), the difference between ninety-three per cent (93%) of her weekly rate of pay and the gross amount of her weekly disability benefit under the DI Plan, the LTD Plan or via the Government Employees Compensation Act. (b) An employee shall be paid an allowance under this clause and under clause 17.02 for a combined period of no more than the number of weeks during which she would have been eligible for maternity benefits under the Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance Plan had she not been disqualified from Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance maternity benefits for the reasons described in subparagraph (a)(i).

  • Professional and Education Leaves (a) Leave of absence with pay or without pay may be granted to employees to attend professional and educational meetings, courses, or other events which may be judged beneficial to the employee's professional development, especially as it relates to her responsibilities with the Employer.

  • Cultural Competence 1. Grantee will make reasonable efforts to provide services that meet each client’s individual needs and takes into consideration the intellectual functioning, literacy, level of education and comprehension ability of each client in order to ensure that all information is presented in a way that meets each client’s individual needs. 2. Grantee will provide services in the client's primary language either directly by Grantee or by a DFPS approved translator. 3. Grantee will have a cultural competence mission statement, core values or other similar guidance that provides how the Grantee will effectively provide these services to clients of various cultures, races, ethnic backgrounds and religions in a manner that recognizes and affirms the client’s worth, protects and preserves the client’s dignity and ensures equity of service delivery.

  • HOLIDAY COMPENSATION FOR TIME WORKED 110. Employees required by their respective appointing officers to work on any of the above specified or substitute holidays, excepting Fridays observed as holidays in lieu of holidays falling on Saturday, shall be paid extra compensation of one additional day's pay at time-and-one-half the usual rate in the amount of 12 hours pay for 8 hours worked or a proportionate amount for less than 8 hours worked provided, however, that at the employee's request and with the approval of the appointing officer, an employee may be granted compensatory time off in lieu of paid overtime pursuant to the provisions of Section III.E.2. 111. Executive, administrative and professional employees designated in the Annual Salary Ordinance with the "Z" symbol shall not receive extra compensation for holiday work but may be granted time off equivalent to the time worked at the rate of-one-and-one-half times for work on the holiday.
