Common use of Overtime Meal Clause in Contracts

Overtime Meal. A. Employees shall be provided with a meal and an opportunity to eat such meal on the Employer’s time after completing approximately ten (10) consecutive hours of work (excluding the regular meal period) and at approximately six (6) hour intervals thereafter except as provided in C. below. B. Employees called in for emergency work shall be provided a meal and an opportunity to eat such meal on Employer time at approximately six (6) hour intervals thereafter except as provided in C. below. C. Notwithstanding the foregoing, meals will not be provided for employees in cases where the expiration of the six (6) hour period falls within one-half (1/2) hour of the time the employee is to be relieved from his work assignment.
