Overtime, Monday. Friday - Employees who are required to work overtime for a continuous period either before their ordinary commencing time or after their ordinary finishing time are allowed: a) after one hour 30 minutes - a meal break of 20 minutes b) after four hours - a second meal break of 20 minutes, but only if the employees continue the overtime for at least another hour c) after eight hours - a third meal break of 20 minutes, but only if the employees continue the overtime for at least another hour.

Overtime, Monday to Saturday shall be paid at the rate of time and one-half. Overtime, on Sundays shall be paid at the rate of double time. approved holidays, shall be paid at the rate of double time in addition to the regular pay for that holiday. Overtime worked on a Saturday on a weekend in which an approved holiday occurs shall be paid at the rate of double time. Overtime and call-back time shall be divided as equally as reasonably possible among the employees who are in the opinion of the Board officials qualified to perform the work that is available. Employees shall have the option of receiving payment for any overtime or taking time off in lieu as mutually agreed at the appropriate overtime rate. any calendar year shall be eighty hours. Employees shall not be required to lay-off during regular hours in order to any overtime worked. A statement with respect to the Community Use of Schools and the method of payment for caretakers who are required to act on behalf of the Board for the Public Use of Schools is contained in Appendix “A” of this Agreement. Employees may refuse to perform Community Use of Services outside regular working hours unless they have received forty-eight hours notice. When overtime is worked on Saturday or Sunday at Centennial Pool or School, one-half of such overtime shall be allowable for accumulation. Such overtime shall be paid at the Shift Supervisor rate or the employee’s own rate if such rate is higher. A lump sum payment of that accumulation will be made by September in each year.

  • Overtime Meals When employees are required to work more than two (2) hours beyond their regular work days, the Employer will provide hot meals at no cost to the employees, up to a maximum of sixteen dollars ($16.00) (receipts to be submitted) plus paid meal periods of one-half (1/2) hour at the prevailing rate and thereafter at four (4) hour intervals. Any early morning start before regular starting time is entitled to a paid meal. The breakfast limit is thirteen dollars ($13.00) (receipts to be submitted). Employees called out on overtime shall be paid for meals as above, after four (4) hours work.

  • Payment for Working Overtime on a Holiday Where an employee is required to work authorized overtime in excess of his regularly scheduled hours on a paid holiday, such employee shall receive twice (2x) his regular straight time hourly rate for such authorized overtime.

  • Overtime Holidays Double time the regular rate for work on the following holiday(s). New Year's Day

  • Overtime Overtime will begin to accrue after sixty (60) hours in a two (2) week period averaged over the scheduling period determined by the local parties. Overtime will apply if the employee works in excess of the normal daily hours. Payment for overtime is as in Article 16.01.

  • Overtime Hours Except as otherwise provided in this section, all hours worked in excess of the established work day, before or after an employee's regular scheduled shift, or on any regularly scheduled day off, shall be considered overtime. All paid vacation time, paid holidays, paid sick leave, compensatory time off, and paid leaves of absence shall be considered as "time worked" for purposes of this Article. Part-time employees whose established work day is less than eight (8) hours shall not be considered to be working overtime until having completed eight (8) hours of work.

  • Paid Holidays – Long Weekends (a) When an employee is scheduled to work a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to also schedule the employee to work the paid holiday. (b) When the employee is scheduled off on a weekend where a paid holiday falls on the Monday or the Friday, the Employer shall endeavour to schedule the employee off the paid holiday. (c) In the event of a scheduling conflict, 12.07 (a) will be the deciding provision.

  • Hour Shifts When the Employer deems it necessary to implement a twelve (12) hour work day, affected employees shall be notified pursuant to Clause 14.05. The following Clauses shall be replaced or added to the Collective Agreement where appropriate.

  • Hour Shift An eight (8) hour tour shall be inclusive of an unpaid one-half (1/2) hour meal period, and two fifteen (15) minute paid relief periods.

  • Public Holidays falling within Annual Leave (a) If a Public Holiday, as prescribed in this Agreement, falls within an Employee’s annual leave the Public Holiday does not constitute part of the Employee’s annual leave and will be paid as ordinary hours.

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.
