Common use of Paid Education Leave Clause in Contracts

Paid Education Leave. The Board agrees to pay into a special fund one cent ($ .01) per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade Union functions. It is further agreed that selectees will be granted a leave of absence without pay for twenty twenty-one (2021) days of class time plus travel time, plus travel time where necessary, said leave of absence to be intermittent over a twelve (12) month period from the first day of leave.
