Paid Personal Leave (PPL. (a) Commencing January 1st of each year, a regular full-time employee employees shall be allowed up to three twenty-four (324) hours of paid personal days leave per calendar year. Such leave is to provide emergency time off without loss of pay, excluding premiums,, for extraordinary or unanticipated circumstances that may arise in an employee’s personal life. A request for Paid Personal Leave is to be made in writing directly to the Chief Engineer or designate in advance of the leave being taken, or in the case of an emergency, immediately following an employee’s return from such leave.
