Common use of Paid Personal Leave (PPL Clause in Contracts

Paid Personal Leave (PPL. Commencing January 1st of each year, each Regular Full-Time Member shall be allowed for reasons set out in Article 21.17 and 21.18 below up to three (3) days paid personal leave of absence annually. Requests to access PPL are made to the supervisor who, subject to operational requirements, will approve the request. Members paid for a thirty- seven and one-half (37.5) hour work week will receive twenty-two and one-half (22.5) hours of PPL per year, while those paid for a forty (40) hour work week will receive twenty-four (24) hours of PPL annually.
