Part-Time Courtesy Clerks. The Company may employ part-time courtesy clerks whose duties will be restricted to parcelling, parcel pick-up, buggy collection, carry outs, cleaning and sweeping of the store front end, price checks, replenishing grocery bags, bottle refunds and empty bottle sorting and handling, perishable product returns and empty can sorting and handling. The provisions of Appendix "C" shall apply to the Courtesy Clerk classification, except as set out below:

The provisions of the Collective Agreement shall apply to the Courtesy Clerk classification, except as set out below.

Hours of work, which shall be placed on a separate schedule for Courtesy Clerks, will be limited to the performance of the duties listed above, and such hours will not be considered available for regular part-time employees in the application of Article Courtesy Clerks shall wear a distinct with a badge clearly identifying them as Courtesy Clerks. Courtesy Clerks shall progress as set out below:

  • Part-Time Faculty A faculty member whose appointment is for a specified period of time and does not meet the full load requirements for an Academic Year as defined herein. Such appointment carries with it no promise or expectation of continued employment. Such appointments are not applicable towards tenure.

  • Part-Time Nurse is a Nurse hired to a position to work on a regular or temporary basis that is less than the work period of a Full-Time Nurse.

  • Part-Time Teachers A "part-time teacher" is one who is employed under written contract but who is assigned to duties on a regular basis that requires less than a full-time equivalent. A part-time teacher shall be paid a salary in accordance with the basic salary schedule, proportionate to the percentage of the full-time equivalent taught each day as outlined in the written contract.

  • Part-Time Work An employee who is pregnant or is entitled to parental leave may, by agreement with the employer, reduce the employee’s hours of employment to an agreed extent subject to the following conditions:

  • Overtime for Part-Time Employees (a) A part-time employee working less than the normal hours per day of a full-time employee, and who is required to work longer than their regular workday, shall be paid at the rate of straight-time for the hours so worked, up to and including the normal hours in the workday of a full-time employee.

  • Paid Jury or Court Witness Duty Leave The Employer shall grant leave of absence without loss of seniority to an Employee who serves as a juror or witness in any court. The Employer shall pay such an Employee the difference between normal earnings and the payment received for jury service or court witness, excluding payment for traveling, meals or other expenses. The Employee will present proof of service and the amount of pay received. Time spent by an Employee required to serve as a court witness in any matter arising out of her employment, shall be considered as time worked at the appropriate rate of pay.

  • JURY SERVICE AND WITNESS LEAVE 17.1 Employees called on for jury service or who are subpoenaed, or as a witness for the Crown, the employer, or in the course of their employment, are required to serve. Where the need is urgent, the employer may apply for postponement because of particular work needs, but this may be done only in exceptional circumstances.

  • Court Time An employee who is called to appear as a witness in his/her official capacity by a court, including administrative court, on a scheduled day off, a scheduled vacation day or other approved day off shall be paid for the hours so spent, including actual, necessary travel time, at his/her regular hourly rate. This hourly rate shall include the non-standard premium for those employees designated as non-standard. Payment under this Article shall be the total payment for such court time from all sources other than regular pay for the scheduled day off. An employee who is assigned a State vehicle shall be entitled to use such vehicle on such occasions.

  • GRIEVANCE AND ARBITRATION Casual employees have access to the grievance and arbitration procedures. (Reference Article 9 - Grievances and Article 10 - Arbitration.)
