Patient Transport. Unless other arrangements are made with the receiving facility, the transferring facility shall arrange for the transportation of the patient being transferred from the transferring facility to the receiving facility, including selection of the mode of transportation (including but not limited to ambulance, air, stretcher, private vehicle, etc.) that provides appropriate health care practitioner(s) to accompany the patient. Patient shall be responsible for the cost associated with such transportation from the emergency room, and either patient or transferring facility shall be responsible for the cost associated with such transportation if the patient is a swing patient or acute patient being moved from OPERATOR to HOSPITAL, through HOSPITAL’s case management department and the patient’s attending physician. The receiving facility’s responsibility for the patient’s care shall begin when the patient is received at the receiving facility.

Patient Transport. (i) Periods during which an employee is engaged in nursing duties, in attendance on a patient, shall be paid as working time under this Agreement. Where applicable, overtime shall be payable. (ii) All reasonable out-of-pocket expenses shall be reimbursed.
Patient Transport. A nurse who accompanies a patient traveling by ambulance, helicopter, or other vehicle, at the request of Employer Administrative Personnel, shall be considered to be in the employ of the Employer. If the return trip to the hospital is not to be by the ambulance or other vehicle in which the nurse traveled with the patient, the nurse’s return trip transportation expense should be arranged before departure. Such return trip expenses will be provided before the trip if requested, or otherwise reimbursed by the Employer. All hours spent performing the foregoing function shall be compensated at the appropriate rate of pay.
Patient Transport. CONTRACTOR will be responsible for all emergency transportation costs. Tuolumne County will be responsible for all routine transportation costs. CONTRACTOR will authorize all emergency transportation costs with the exception of life-threatening emergencies.
Patient Transport. Hospital acknowledges that EMS Agency policies and procedures require that STEMI patients be transported to the closest designated STEMI Receiving Center, except under certain circumstances such as hospital diversion or multi-casualty incidents. Neither Hospital, County, nor EMS Agency shall exert any direct or indirect influence that would cause or contribute to the transport of STEMI patients to a facility other than the closest STEMI Receiving Center, except as specifically authorized by EMS Agency policies or procedures.

The NSCISB has issued Guidance on applying the national guidelines to people with SCI needing patient transport services.
Patient Transport. Where it is determined that there is a public health need that requires an alteration of an existing rostering arrangement or the introduction of a new rostering arrangement, shift work or a new shift, consultation will be undertaken with employees and their representatives, including relevant unions, in the first instance to seek the agreement of a majority of employees affected by the proposed change. The agreement also provides a process should agreement not be reached. Further details in regard to the alteration of rostering arrangements because of a public heath need can be found at subclause B6.10 to B6.15.
