Pay for Travel on Behalf of the Employer. 33.01 Subject to Article 33.04, where an Employee is required to travel on behalf of the Employer, the Employee shall be paid straight time rate for the actual time travelled, to a maximum of eight (8) hours, for all travel outside of the normal work week. 33.02 For the purpose of this Article, hours travelled includes a one hour check in period at airports, bus depots, or train stations, as well as one hour check out period at each overnight stopover and at the final destination. Hours travelled also include time spent waiting for connecting flights, trains or buses, but is exclusive of overnight stopovers. 33.03 The Employer will make every reasonable effort to restrict travel outside Iqaluit, which requires absence from home beyond a period that includes more than one weekend. 33.04 The above entitlements shall not apply to an apprentice while travelling to or from trades school on a day of rest or designated paid holiday or while in attendance at trades school.

Pay for Travel on Behalf of the Employer. 25.01 Travel inside or outside the local area on the Employer’s business that is either completed during an employee’s shift or exceeds the employee’s shift will be eligible for reimbursement according to Appendix C – Allowances – Modules 1, 2 and 3 from the Treasury Board Directive. 25.02 The Employer will normally arrange for payment for commercial transportation and accommodation. If it is necessary for an Employee to pay for these expenses, a receipt shall be presented for reimbursement. 25.03 When Employees are required to travel on any day including Saturdays, Sundays or Statutory Holidays, they will be entitled to straight time rates for all time spent traveling. Hours traveled for commercial transportation includes a two (2) hour check- in period at airports, bus depots or train stations, as well as two (2) hour check-out period at each over night stopover and at the final destination. Hours traveled also include time spent waiting for connection flights, trains, or buses but is exclusive of overnight stopovers. 25.04 Where available, Employees are entitled to individual hotel accommodation unless an agreement to share hotel accommodation was reached with the employee prior to departure.

Pay for Travel on Behalf of the Employer. (a) Where an employee is required, or directed, by the Employer to travel on duty outside of and/or to return to Dawson City in order to perform the duties of their position; and (b) Provided that their method of travel is determined by, or approved by, the Employer, they shall be compensated for the time spent travelling in the manner prescribed below: (i) On a normal working day on which they travel but do not work, the employee shall receive their regular pay for the day. (ii) On a normal working day on which they travel and works, the employee shall be paid: a. their regular pay for the day where the combined period of travel and work does not exceed the daily hours of work assigned to their position even though such hours may not be in accordance with their normally scheduled hours of work; b. where the combined total of travel and work hours exceed the daily hours of work assigned to the position, they shall be paid at the applicable overtime rate for additional travel time in excess of their normal daily hours of work. (iii) On a day where the employee would be entitled to receive overtime pay or on a designated paid holiday, the employee shall be paid at the applicable overtime rate for all hours spent travelling to a maximum of the daily straight time hours assigned to their position in any one day. Hours travelled include a one (1) hour check-in at airports or bus depots and one (1) hour check-out period at each overnight stopover at the final destination. Hours travelled also include time spent waiting for connecting flights, trains or buses, exclusive of overnight stops. The Employer will make every reasonable effort to restrict travel outside of the City of Xxxxxx which requires absence from the City of Xxxxxx over two consecutive weekends. Where an employee is absent from home on a designated paid holiday and does not work, the employee shall receive another mutually agreed day off with pay.
Pay for Travel on Behalf of the Employer. Travel inside or outside the local area but completed within the shift will be eligible for reimbursement according to the IMP Administrative Directive Traveling and Business Trips. Travel for the balance of this article is where the Employee proceeds out of the local area on the Employer's business for a length of time exceeding their regular shift.   • Agreement with Respect to Continuation of Group Health Plan Coverage for Former Employees of the Failed Bank (a) The Assuming Institution agrees to assist the Receiver, as provided in this Section 4.12, in offering individuals who were employees or former employees of the Failed Bank, or any of its Subsidiaries, and who, immediately prior to Bank Closing, were receiving, or were eligible to receive, health insurance coverage or health insurance continuation coverage from the Failed Bank ("Eligible Individuals"), the opportunity to obtain health insurance coverage in the Corporation's FIA Continuation Coverage Plan which provides for health insurance continuation coverage to such Eligible Individuals who are qualified beneficiaries of the Failed Bank as defined in Section 607 of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, as amended (respectively, "qualified beneficiaries" and "ERISA"). The Assuming Institution shall consult with the Receiver and not later than five (5) Business Days after Bank Closing shall provide written notice to the Receiver of the number (if available), identity (if available) and addresses (if available) of the Eligible Individuals who are qualified beneficiaries of the Failed Bank and for whom a "qualifying event" (as defined in Section 603 of ERISA) has occurred and with respect to whom the Failed Bank's obligations under Part 6 of Subtitle B of Title I of ERISA have not been satisfied in full, and such other information as the Receiver may reasonably require. The Receiver shall cooperate with the Assuming Institution in order to permit it to prepare such notice and shall provide to the Assuming Institution such data in its possession as may be reasonably required for purposes of preparing such notice. (b) The Assuming Institution shall take such further action to assist the Receiver in offering the Eligible Individuals who are qualified beneficiaries of the Failed Bank the opportunity to obtain health insurance coverage in the Corporation's FIA Continuation Coverage Plan as the Receiver may direct. All expenses incurred and paid by the Assuming Institution (i) in connection with the obligations of the Assuming Institution under this Section 4.12, and (ii) in providing health insurance continuation coverage to any Eligible Individuals who are hired by the Assuming Institution and such employees' qualified beneficiaries shall be borne by the Assuming Institution. (c) No later than five (5) Business Days after Bank Closing, the Assuming Institution shall provide the Receiver with a list of all Failed Bank employees the Assuming Institution will not hire. Unless otherwise agreed, the Assuming Institution pays all salaries and payroll costs for all Failed Bank Employees until the list is provided to the Receiver. The Assuming Institution shall be responsible for all costs and expenses (i.e. salary, benefits, etc.) associated with all other employees not on that list from and after the date of delivery of the list to the Receiver. The Assuming Institution shall offer to the Failed Bank employees it retains employment benefits comparable to those the Assuming Institution offers its current employees. (d) This Section 4.12 is for the sole and exclusive benefit of the parties to this Agreement, and for the benefit of no other Person (including any former employee of the Failed Bank or any Subsidiary thereof or qualified beneficiary of such former employee). Nothing in this Section 4.12 is intended by the parties, or shall be construed, to give any Person (including any former employee of the Failed Bank or any Subsidiary thereof or qualified beneficiary of such former employee) other than the Corporation, the Receiver and the Assuming Institution any legal or equitable right, remedy or claim under or with respect to the provisions of this Section.

  • Death of the Employee The TERM automatically terminates upon the death of the EMPLOYEE. In the event of such death, the EMPLOYEE's estate shall be entitled to receive the compensation due the EMPLOYEE through the last day of the calendar month in which the death occurred, except as otherwise specified herein.

  • CONDITIONS FOR EMERGENCY/HURRICANE OR DISASTER - TERM CONTRACTS It is hereby made a part of this Invitation for Bids that before, during and after a public emergency, disaster, hurricane, flood, or other acts of God that Orange County shall require a “first priority” basis for goods and services. It is vital and imperative that the majority of citizens are protected from any emergency situation which threatens public health and safety, as determined by the County. Contractor agrees to rent/sell/lease all goods and services to the County or other governmental entities as opposed to a private citizen, on a first priority basis. The County expects to pay contractual prices for all goods or services required during an emergency situation. Contractor shall furnish a twenty-four (24) hour phone number in the event of such an emergency.

  • By the Executive Other than for Good Reason The Executive may terminate his employment hereunder other than for Good Reason (as defined in Section 5(f) below) at any time upon the provision of 60 days written notice to the Company. In the event of termination of the Executive pursuant to this Section 5(e), the Board may elect to waive the period of notice or any portion thereof.

  • Special Parental Allowance for Totally Disabled Employees (a) An employee who: (i) fails to satisfy the eligibility requirement specified in subparagraph 17.05(a)(ii) solely because a concurrent entitlement to benefits under the Disability Insurance (DI) Plan, the Long-term Disability (LTD) Insurance portion of the Public Service Management Insurance Plan (PSMIP) or via the Government Employees Compensation Act prevents the employee from receiving Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance Plan benefits, and (ii) has satisfied all of the other eligibility criteria specified in paragraph 17.05(a), other than those specified in sections (A) and (B) of subparagraph 17.05(a)(iii), shall be paid, in respect of each week of benefits under the parental allowance not received for the reason described in subparagraph (i), the difference between ninety-three per cent (93%) of the employee's rate of pay and the gross amount of his or her weekly disability benefit under the DI Plan, the LTD Plan or via the Government Employees Compensation Act. (b) An employee shall be paid an allowance under this clause and under clause 17.05 for a combined period of no more than the number of weeks during which the employee would have been eligible for parental, paternity or adoption benefits under the Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance Plan, had the employee not been disqualified from Employment Insurance or Québec Parental Insurance Plan benefits for the reasons described in subparagraph (a)(i).
