Paying for your booking. 1) When you have only paid the Initial Deposit, you are required to pay the Balance and Security Deposit within a certain period prior to the arrival date specified in the email confirmation (the “Arrival Date”). If you fail to make the Balance and Security Deposit payments in full and on time, we shall be entitled to treat your Booking as cancelled by you and the Cancellation Policy (as defined below) shall apply. 2) If you cancel or amend your booking If you need to cancel or amend your Booking you must phone or email us as soon as possible. A cancellation or amendment will not take effect until confirmed in writing by you. You can cancel your booking within 24 hours of it being confirmed and receive a full refund, provided your arrival date is more than 60 days from the date you cancel. If you cancel after this ‘cooling off’ period, the cancellation policy described in your email confirmation (“Cancellation Policy”) applies and we will refund any amounts due to you in accordance with the agreed Cancellation Policy (see the full cancellation policy on page 7). 3) It is your responsibility to ensure you have appropriate travel insurance to cover cancellation fees. 4) If: a. any fees due from you are not paid in accordance with the timeframes required; or b. you do not arrive within 24 hours of your arrival time without notifying us, your Booking will be treated as cancelled by you. The Cancellation Policy shall then apply. 5) If we cancel or amend your Booking We do not expect to have to change your booking once it is agreed, but in some extreme circumstances, we do have to make alterations or, very occasionally, cancel bookings. If this does happen, we will contact you as soon as possible and inform you of the cancellation or the change to your booking. If we cancel your booking, we will refund you any fees you have already paid to us. However, we will not be liable to refund you for any fees you may have paid to any third party in connection with your holiday (including, without limitation, fees for travel, entertainment, activities or insurance).

Paying for your booking. We require full payment unless we advise you that the offer you have booked permits us to take a deposit and the balance at a later date. You are required to send to us your payment for the balance of the Rental and the Security Deposit at least eight weeks prior to the Arrival Date as set out in our written confirmation. The deposit is not applied toward rent. We will hold the Security Deposit to be applied against the reasonable cleaning and/or replacement of the property, furnishings, fixtures and fittings. We will return the Security Deposit to you within 14 days (although normally within 48 hours) of departure, after the return of the keys to us and the property has been checked, less any deductions in accordance with the conditions listed below:  No damage is done to the property or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear.  No charges are incurred due to illegal activity, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay.  All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in the rubbish bin, and soiled dishes are cleaned.  All keys are left where they were found on arrival and bungalow is left locked and secure.  All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.  No linens are lost or damaged. (Or stained through careless laundering or use of suncreams).  NO early arrival or late departure, unless arranged at time of booking. (If available).  The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner) or the local law enforcement.
Paying for your booking. Credit card details must be supplied upon booking and full payment will be processed 4 weeks prior to arrival. Your payment due date will be advised when your booking confirmation is sent.

This payment is processed by a company called Stripe, on our behalf. 2.2 Where you have only paid a Deposit, you are required to send to us your payment for the Balance and Security Deposit 42 days prior to the arrival date specified in your Quote (the “Arrival Date”). If you fail to make a payment due to us in full and on time, we may treat your Booking as cancelled by you. Therefore, it is vital that you factor in public and bank holidays if paying by Bank Transfer. 2.3 We will return the Security Deposit to you following the return of the keys to us, less any deductions in accordance with the conditions outlined in the 'Your obligations', ‘Additional obligations when staying with your Dog(s)’ and ‘Additional obligations when using the Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Unit’ sections of this Rental Agreement. Any Other Fee(s) described in the Quote are non-refundable.

Any Cleaning Fee will be used to clean the Property, furnishings, fixtures and fittings following your stay and is non-refundable. Any Other Fee(s) will be described in the Quote and are non-refundable.
Paying for your booking. We expect payment for your booking in advance of your arrival or at check-in. You must pay in sterling. You will pay all bank charges involved in making the payment. Access to your room(s) will not be granted until payment has been made in full. For group bookings we will not accept payment by individual guests/delegates.
Paying for your booking. All bookings made via Lairhillock Lodge’s website, must be guaranteed with a credit or debit card – Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro or Delta. No money will be taken from the card at the time of booking. The balance of the account must be made to the Lodge when you check in. Cash, cheques, credit or debit cards are welcome in settlement of your account. Cheques must be supported by, and within the limits of, a current service card issued by any major UK bank. As a measure of fraud prevention you will be required to enter the three digit Card Verification Value (CVV) printed on the back of your credit or debit card when making a booking online. Unless stated as part of your booking any additional items such as (but not limited to) the cost of external telephone calls, meals and drinks are not included in the price of your stay. If you incur any such additional costs you must settle the sum involved prior to your departure from the Lodge. All prices include VAT at the current rate at the time a payment is made.
