Debit Cards definition

Debit Cards means PIN-based Debit Cards and such other debit cards for which the Bank offers card processing services.
Debit Cards are Visa‐branded, MasterCard‐branded, or Discover Network‐branded consumer Cards issued by U.S. Card Issuers that, when presented for payment, access, debit, hold, or settle funds from a consumer’s demand deposit, investment, or other asset account. Examples of Debit Cards include: Visa Classic, Gold, and Platinum Check Cards; Visa Check Card II Check Cards; Visa Buxx Cards; Visa Payroll Cards; Visa Gift Cards; and MasterCard Standard, Gold, and Platinum Debit Cards.
Debit Cards are Visa-branded or MasterCard- branded Cards issued by U.S. Card Issuers that when presented for payment, access, debit, hold or settle funds from a consumer’s demand deposit or asset account. Debit Cards include consumer signature debit programs, stored value programs, prepaid Cards, payroll Cards, electronic benefit transfer Cards and deferred debit Cards that access, debit, hold or settle funds from the user’s demand deposit or asset account less than fourteen (14) days after the date of purchase.

More Definitions of Debit Cards

Debit Cards means all prepaid stored value re-loadable and non-reloadable debit cards (including without limitation, payroll cards) or other electronic or digital debit payment mechanisms, which are not restricted to use in any particular named retail location, and all products and services relating to the reloading of stored value on such prepaid debit cards.
Debit Cards means a plastic Card providing online access to the Cardholder’s account with a bank via an electronic data capture terminal, allowing Debit card transactions against the said account, resulting in the immediate debiting of the Cardholder’s account with the total amount of the debit card transactions effected;
Debit Cards means a plastic card providing online access via an EDC-Terminal to the Cardholder’s account with a bank allowing debit card transactions from the said account, resulting in the immediate debiting of the Cardholder’s account with the total amount of the debit card transactions effected;

Debit Cards means all United States-issued Visa- and MasterCard- branded payment cards that enable cardholders to access deposits or other assets to pay for goods or services or withdraw cash. For avoidance of doubt, solely for purposes of use herein, Debit Cards includes, without limitation, cards commonly known as debit cards, stored value cards, and ATM cards.

Not supported are debit cards requiring a Personal Identification Number [PIN], ATM cards, or private label credit cards. • ELV: Ability to use an Elektronisches Lastschriftverfahren (ELV) form of payment through European payment gateway. • Authorization: Authorization handled via the most appropriate NAVITAIRE supported provider for the Customer's area, such as Vital Systems, FDMS, First Data Merchant Services (USA), BCE Emergis (Canada) and Xxxxxxx'x or NatWest(UK/Europe). • Settlement: Settlement handled via appropriate merchant bank or clearing service as determined by Customer's geographical region upon approval of NAVITAIRE. Upon request, NAVITAIRE will provide specifications for settlement records, which are required for conformity by the Customer's selected bank. Upon written notice to NAVITAIRE and to the authorization and settlement institutions, NAVITAIRE may act as the Customer's agent to order and facilitate installation of these circuits. • Verified by Visa & MasterCard Secure Code: Optional programs for Customer to participate in with their acquiring banks and / or payment service provider. Functionality is fully dependent upon the acquiring bank and / or payment service provider.
Debit Cards means PIN-based Debit Cards and such other debit cards for which Bank offers card processing services; “Authorization Only Cards” shall mean credit cards bearing the American Express or Diners Club identifying logos; and “Approved Cards” shall mean the Bank Cards, Debit Cards and Authorization Only Cards identified for processing by Bank. The holder of an Approved Card shall be hereinafter referred to as a Cardholder. Merchant must provide Bank written notice, not less than thirty (30) days in advance, of its election to accept only one of the following types of cards: (i) “Off-line Debit Cards”, or (ii) “Credit Cards.” Merchant understands and acknowledges, however, that Merchant, not Bank, is solely responsible for assuring, by whatever means, that its accepts only such elected type of cards.
