Payment of Educational Program Costs. In addition to the Academy’s obligation to reimburse edtec for the compensation of certain edtec employees under Article VI, all costs reasonably incurred in providing the educational program at the Academy shall be paid by the Academy in accordance with the annual budget approved by the Board. Such costs shall include, but shall not be limited to, curriculum materials, professional learning and development required by the state or other governmental entities, textbooks, library books, computers and other equip- ment, software, and supplies utilized at the Academy for educational purposes, services provided pursuant to subcontract, building payments, maintenance, utilities, capital improvements, and mar- keting and development costs. Marketing and development costs paid by or charged to the Acad- emy shall be limited to those costs specific to the Academy program, and shall not include any costs for the marketing and development of edtec. The Board shall pay or reimburse edtec monthly for approved fees and expenses upon properly presented documentation and approval by the Board. At its option, the Board may advance funds to edtec for the fees and expenses associated with the Academy's operation, provided that documentation for the fees and expenses are provided by edtec to the Board within sixty (60) days of when the expense is incurred. In paying costs on behalf of the Academy, edtec shall not charge any additional amounts. Any costs reimbursed to edtec that are determined by the independent audit not to be reasonably incurred on behalf of the educational program of the Academy shall be promptly returned to the Academy by edtec. No corporate costs of edtec shall be charged to, or reimbursed by, the Academy.

Such costs shall include, but shall not be limited to, curriculum materials, professional textbooks, library books, professional development and training, computer and other equipment, software (i.e. Student Information System, Enrollment System, Human Resources and Payroll software), supplies utilized at the Academy for educational purposes, building payments, maintenance, utilities, capital improvements, graphic design, special education supervision and appeals, and marketing and development. Marketing and development costs charged to the Academy shall be limited to those costs specific to the Educational Program and shall not include any costs for the marketing and development of Choice Schools. Should Choice Schools purchase products, software, or services for the Academy, the Academy will be invoiced for only its prorated portion of the products, software, or services. The Board shall pay or reimburse Choice Schools monthly for approved fees and expenses upon properly presented documentation and approval by the Board, but reimbursements for the cost of compensation of Choice Schools employees under Article VI shall be made not later than thirty (30) business days before that compensation is due to the employees. At its option, the Board may advance funds to Choice Schools for the fees and expenses associated with the Academy's operation if documentation for the fees and expenses are provided for Board ratification. In paying costs on behalf of the Academy, Choice Schools shall not charge an added fee. Any costs reimbursed to Choice Schools that are determined by the independent audit not to be reasonably incurred on behalf of the Educational Program of the Academy shall be promptly returned to the Academy by Choice Schools.

  • Department of Education The School shall administer all student testing as required by applicable federal and state laws, rules, policies, and procedures.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Required Education (a) The Employer shall provide and fund any Employer required training/education for a Nurse.

  • Educational Program Section 1: Employees covered by this Agreement will receive the university fee authorization program and dependent fee authorization program as currently in effect and as may be determined during the term of this agreement.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.

  • Payment of Extraordinary Education Related Expenses Section 5.1. PAYMENT OF EXTRAORDINARY EDUCATION-RELATED EXPENSES. In addition to the amounts determined pursuant to Articles IV and VI of this Agreement, Applicant on an annual basis shall also indemnify and reimburse District for all non-reimbursed costs, certified by the District’s external auditor to have been incurred by the District for extraordinary education-related expenses directly and solely related to the project that are not directly funded in state aid formulas, including expenses for the purchase of portable classrooms and the hiring of additional personnel to accommodate a temporary increase in student enrollment caused directly by such project. Applicant shall have the right to contest the findings of the District’s external auditor pursuant to Section 4.9 above.

  • Board of Education a) If the unit member and the Association are not satisfied with the decision at Stage 2, the Grievance Committee will file an appeal in writing with the Board of Education within fifteen (15) school days after receiving the decision at Stage 2. The official grievance record maintained by the Superintendent of Schools shall be available for the use of the Board of Education.
