Placement of Classroom Teachers. The Superintendent or designee decides placement decisions, when a vacancy exists, and when a posting is made. Consistent with Revised School Code Section 1248, classroom teacher placement decisions will be made by the Superintendent or designee in their discretion based on the following clear and transparent factors: A. Staffing the curriculum with the most effective and qualified Teachers to instruct the applicable courses, grades, and school schedule. B. Appropriate certification, approval, or authorization for all aspects of the assignment. The certification, approval, or authorization, as applicable, will be determined by the Revised School Code, MDE’s Teacher Certification Code, MDE's Rules for Special Education Programs and Services, and other applicable statutes and regulations. C. Classroom Teacher placement decisions must be made based on effectiveness criteria established in Revised School Code Section 1249. D. A “Vacancy” shall be defined as an unassigned, open position or a newly created position which the District intends to fill. Vacancies shall be posted a least five (5) business days prior to being filled. E. Classroom Teachers must be fully qualified for all aspects of their assignments, as determined by the Board, based on documentation on file with the Superintendent’s office, including: i. Compliance with applicable state or federal regulatory standards, including standards established as a condition to receipt of foundation, grant, or categorical funding; ii. Credentials needed for District, school, or program accreditation; iii. District-provided professional development, training, and academic preparation for an instructional assignment that is anticipated to contribute to the teacher’s effectiveness in that assignment and is integrated into instruction; iv. Relevant special training, other than professional development or continuing education as required by state or federal law, and integration of that training into instruction in a meaningful way; v. Disciplinary record, if any; vi. Length of service in a grade level(s) or subject area(s); vii. Recency of relevant and comparable teaching assignments; viii. Previous effectiveness ratings; ix. Punctuality and habitual use of unpaid days not protected my FMLA, ADA or other state or federal law; x. Positive or negative rapport with colleagues, parents, and students; xi. Ability to withstand the strain of teaching “standard” as defined by law; xii. Compliance with state and federal law...

Placement of Classroom Teachers. 1. Internal classroom teachers who are determined by the District to meet the qualifications for the vacancy shall be interviewed for the position prior to considering external applicants. The District shall only fill a vacancy with an external applicant if no existing classroom teachers meet the qualification requirements for the vacancy set forth in this article. 2. The District will place the most qualified internal or external candidate in the vacancy. “Most Qualified” shall be determined by the District after consideration of the following:

The awareness program shall include but not be limited to: i. the definitions of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; ii. understanding situations that are not harassment or sexual harassment, including the exercise of an employer's managerial and/or supervisory rights and responsibilities; iii. developing an awareness of behaviour that is illegal and/or inappropriate; iv. outlining strategies to prevent harassment and sexual harassment; v. a review of the resolution of harassment and sexual harassment as outlined in this Agreement; vi. understanding malicious complaints and the consequences of such; vii. outlining any Board policy for dealing with harassment and sexual harassment; viii. outlining laws dealing with harassment and sexual harassment which apply to employees in B.C.

  • Dimensions Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 4 years of IT work experience in data modeling, data analysis, relational DBMS design and support and relevant computing environments.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Outreach and Education The agencies agree to coordinate, conduct joint outreach presentations, and prepare and distribute publications, when appropriate, for the regulated community of common concern. • The agencies agree to work with each other to provide a side-by-side comparison of laws with overlapping provisions and jurisdiction. • The agencies agree to provide a hyperlink on each agency’s website linking users directly to the outreach materials in areas of mutual jurisdiction and concern. • The agencies agree to jointly disseminate outreach materials to the regulated community, when appropriate. • All materials bearing the DOL or DOL/WHD name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by DOL. • All materials bearing the OEAS name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by OEAS.

  • Classroom Visitation To provide patrons of the District the opportunity to visit classrooms with the least interruption to the teaching process, the following guidelines are set forth: A. All visitors to a school and/or classroom shall obtain the approval of the principal, and if the visit is to a classroom, the time will be arranged after the principal or his designee has conferred with the employee, if possible. B. Whenever possible, the employee shall be afforded the opportunity to confer with the classroom visitor before and/or after the visitation. C. This provision does not apply to administrators and Board of Directors members.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.
