Tack coat (TC) ‐ Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion, using emulsion pressure distributor, at 0.2 kg/m2 on the prepared surface, after cleaning broom. The bitumen emulsion shall be of CSS‐1h for a normal bituminous surface. The materials shall be tested at the site and in a laboratory.

Primer must be applied within 8 hours of exposing metal and before flash rust appears. The entire pole shall be coated from where the pole contacts the concrete to the base of the street light fixture regardless of the required preparation standard selected. The fixtures will be painted by others. Primer should be allowed to cure a minimum of 24 hours prior to the application of the next coat. Manufacturer specifications shall be followed at all times. The fixtures will be painted by others. Do not fill screw heads with paint. 2nd Top Coat The contractor shall use Xxxxxxx Xxxxxxxx DTM Acrylic Coating – B66-200. The contractor shall apply paint in strict accordance with the applicable manufacturer printed data sheet and container label outlining recommended minimum and maximum surface and air temperatures required for application. Application Process (cont.) Protection of the surface adjacent to the pole is required to prevent abrasion or coloring. Preventative actions must be taken to prevent blast material and paint over-spray from damaging adjacent property and vehicles. Contractor shall provide, upon request of the Commissioner, any and all information necessary to verify the accuracy of the xxxxxxxx.
