Probation Officer Sample Clauses

Probation Officer. A government employee, employed by the New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD) or the New Mexico Corrections Department, responsible for supervising individuals who are on probation through the court. Probation officers include adult probation officers and Juvenile Probation Officers (JPO).
Probation OfficerAn appropriate four (4) year degree from an accredited college or university or have completed a career development program that includes work related experience, training, or college credits providing a level of achievement equivalent to a bachelor’s degree; and meet the Contractual requirements for supervising misdemeanor probationers. The Probation Advisory Board shall be the determining authority for decisions relative to equivalency for the four-year degree requirement. Their decision will be made on a case-by-case basis. CONTRACTOR retains the obligation to present the employee’s career development program, work related experience, training, or college credits for the Probation Advisory Board’s consideration.

Probation Officer. The Probation Officer will be a member of the Selection Committee, and will supervise participants based on individual program plans. The Probation Officer will make referrals to contract agencies (and appropriate non-contract agencies) for treatment and other recommended program content based on the needs of individual participants. The Probation Officer will also: a. Prepare weekly reports for the UACT team of each participant’s performance, including successes and failures, and any treatment updates. These reports will be informal, for the purpose of team discussion, and filed with access restricted to UACT team members. b. Work with treatment and other program providers to ensure effective communication between the treatment and other program providers and the UACT team. c. Work with FPDO and USAO team members when compliance concerns arise to intervene immediately and address the issues. Any such interventions will be reported to the UACT team at the following UACT proceeding. d. Maintain a file for each participant that includes the plea agreement, program rules, progress reports, treatment and program records, results of drug testing, and all other records relating to the participant’s progress through UACT. The UACT program file will be made available to the Judicial Officers and other team members as necessary for implementation of UACT, as well as to any research partner working with USPO to evaluate UACT. e. Develop curriculum and content for UACT participants.

Probation Officer a. Receive information regarding CSEC currently under probation’s jurisdiction, b. Respond within 120 Minutes when the identification occurs during operating hours, c. Contact Child Welfare to determine the steps Child Welfare took after operating hours when Probation was unable to respond, d. Work with the responding agencies to: 1) Decide on a temporary placement, 2) Transport the child to the placement, 3) Develop a coordinated safety plan with the MDT, 4) Notify and work with responding SART/CART to ensure the youth’s immediate health/wellness needs are met, 5) Provide intensive supervision and support for 72 hours. e. Contact the designated MDT Coordinator to initiate the process of an Ongoing MDT.
Probation Officer i. Brief the Supervising Probation Officer on all cases to be reviewed at the Ongoing MDT, including: a. Any ongoing needs or issues b. Any needs or issues that have arisen since the prior Ongoing MDT. ii. Ensure the Supervising Probation Officer has all information necessary to discuss strategies for addressing the issues for all identified CSEC cases.
