Career Development Program. The City shall fund the tuition reimbursement program $120,000.00 annually for all F.O.P. bargaining unit members collectively. Reimbursement requests from any F.O.P. member necessitating funding in excess of $120,000.00 annually may be denied or limited based upon available funding. Unused funding shall be reallocated annually as determined by the City.
Career Development Program. A. A career development program shall be funded at a cost not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for each contract year.
B. The Association may make program recommendations to the Superintendent for the expenditure of these funds. Upon request, a member of the Superintendent's staff will serve as an advisor to the committee.
C. Upon approval by the Superintendent or designee, any work time charged for a Career Development Grant shall be considered.
Career Development Program. The San Xxxxxx Fire Chief Officers’ Association agrees to the Career Development Guidelines as written.
Career Development Program. The City and Refuse Unit representatives will continue to work toward the implementation of a formal career development program through the Joint Labor- Management Committee. The City shall formally explore career development in the Joint Labor-Management Committee including such things as rotating employees out of terminal positions with no loss in pay or future pay increases, providing a per diem skill pay, and using overtime premium savings to offset the career development program. It is understood that if the unit goes to a holiday in- lieu schedule, any savings there from would be earmarked to the two different tiered groups respectively. Any change must be by mutual agreement.
Career Development Program. Within six months of ratification of this agreement, College management and AFT representatives will work collaboratively to develop a Career Development Program to provide employees with opportunities for career succession within a department or the College. Elements of this program will include:
A. Approval to fill job vacancies will continue to require Vacancy Management Review Team (VMRT) review and approval.
B. Job descriptions for leadership positions will include the preferred qualifications for management and leadership training when appropriate.
C. Administrators will be provided with training on succession planning and career development plans.
D. Administrators will be provided with a career development action plan template to help identity career goals.
E. Administrators who wish to advance will be provided with an opportunity to attend management and leadership training.
F. An internal notification will be provided to administrators prior to an administrative position being publicly posted. Internal non-probationary administrators may express an interest in transferring to the position prior to the posting. A screening process will be developed so that administrators who are qualified may respond to the internal notification and be transferred or reassigned into the position without the entire search process being completed.
Career Development Program. The City and the Union recognize the importance of continuing education in providing equitable employment opportunities, employee growth and agree to a mutual commitment of education for employees in this bargaining unit. In accordance with Section 106.901 of the Ordinance Code, the City may establish a Career Development Program. The City may reimburse employees for eligible tuition expenses in order to enhance the quality of the existing workforce, attract and retain qualified candidates for City employment, and to ensure that City employees have access to education that will equip them to do the work that will be needed during their careers with the City of Jacksonville. Reimbursement will be in accordance with established policies and procedures which will cover, among other things, time limits for submission of requests, eligible coursework, and required documentation. This program is dependent upon funding.
Career Development Program. A. Teachers who have served full time under contract for at least seven (7) years in Ridgewood in a position or positions requiring a state certificate may be granted a leave under the Career Development Program for an approved purpose such as graduate study, research, travel, etc. Up to 2% of the certificated staff may be granted a leave under the Career Development Program for any school year. Applications shall be sent to the Superintendent of Schools by February 1 for the next school year. Applications may be accepted by the Superintendent at a later date if he deems circumstances warrant. They will be reviewed by a Selection Committee of six members - three appointed by the Association and three appointed by the Superintendent. The committee will evaluate the applications and make decisions of priority of approval. Final approval of applicants by the Board will be made by the second public Board meeting following the initial interviews, which are ordinarily conducted during the month of February.
B. Such a leave may be for a school year at 1/2 pay or one semester at 3/4 pay, except that full- time kindergarten teachers only may apply for a leave whereby they work a full-year, one half- time, at 3/4 pay. Grantees shall agree in advance in writing to return to the Ridgewood staff for a minimum of two (2) years or refund the compensation received, or the appropriate portion, if they do not do so.
C. The teacher shall receive credit for an earned salary increment for the period of the professional study and shall also be granted any other salary benefits which have been approved by the Board during the period of the leave.
D. If, in the judgment of the Superintendent or the Selection Committee, a teacher on a grant program is not fulfilling the purpose for which the grant was made, each shall consult with the other, after which the Superintendent shall report his views to the Board. The Board may terminate the grant after providing an opportunity for the teacher to be heard. At such a hearing the teacher may choose to be accompanied by representatives from the Association who shall also have an opportunity to be heard.
E. The period of Career Development Leave shall count as regular service for the purpose of retirement planning, and contributions by the teacher to the retirement fund shall continue at the usual rate, based on a full year's salary. Tenure rights shall not be impaired.

Career Development Program. The purpose of this program is to award those represented by the Fire Union in recognition of achievement of education, training, and experience. This program is to raise the level of education and competence in Fire service personnel.
Career Development Program. The Board shall annually allocate one hundred and sixty dollars ($160.00) per full-time equivalent employee, and the employee shall annually contribute forty dollars ($40.00) on a pro-rata basis, to a Career Development Fund, exclusively for the use of the members of the bargaining unit. Records pertaining to the fund shall be maintained by the Board and forwarded to the Union quarterly.
Career Development Program. A. The Department encourages RNs’ efforts in enhancing and developing their professional careers, and will provide a career development program consistent with budget capabilities. For those RNs interested in career development a Personal Development Plan (PDP) or its equivalent should be developed in conjunction with their supervisor/preceptor.
B. Participation will be voluntary and non-participation will not adversely impact the RN’s proficiency rating.
