PROBATIONARY CUSTODIANS. Section 1. Initial Probationary Period: Custodians shall serve an initial probationary period of six (6) months of continuous service in the school district during which time the school district shall have the right to suspend without pay, discharge, or otherwise discipline such custodian. However, a probationary custodian shall have the right to bring a grievance on any other provisions of the Agreement alleged to have been violated.

PROBATIONARY CUSTODIANS. The School District shall notify the custodian in writing, with a copy to the UNION office, of the reason(s) for discharge. Probationary custodians may have the UNION process the grievance on discharge through Level III of the grievance procedure, but such grievances shall not be subject to the arbitration provisions of this Agreement.
