– PROCESSING, SHIPPING and PACKAGING DEPARTMENTS. 17.01 Employees may hold one bid or one pool job (not both). The Company will ensure that all training associated with any bid or pool job will be completed within six months. Any unusual circumstances will be discussed between the parties should they arise. Job shadowing will be considered the first week of training for positions which require an extended period i.e. four weeks or greater. No job shadowing is required for positions which require less than four weeks of training, unless the employee is newly-hired into the Processing Department.
17.02 Any employee bidding to another job shall remain on said job for at least six (6) months, except to bid on a newly created position or Bosch Packaging vacancy or if they bid into a Maintenance Planner, Warehouse Coordinator, Stockroom Clerk, QC Tech or Technical Quality Assistant position in which case they shall remain in said position for at least one (1) year. A newly created position is defined as a job not previously performed by bargaining unit employees. The Company will offer job preference three (3) times with the resulting opening not subject to the policy.
17.03 Employees currently holding a bid job who do not retain a bid job will be returned to either the Processing or Packaging Department Employees can transfer from one department to another as openings occur.
17.04 In the event of an employee failing to prove satisfactory on the requested position, they shall return to either the Processing or Packaging Department, according to seniority.
17.05 In the event of a cutback in production requiring downsizing of the work force all holders of the bid job (Sanitarian) will be protected for a period of one (1) month and will not be bumped out of their own bid job because of seniority after which time seniority and qualifications will be the determining factor.

Technician (Pool) Fork Lift/Unitizer Operator (Pool) Unitizer Operator (when RMT becomes redundant classification no longer exists) Coater Coater (Pool) Oatwise Process Oatwise Process (Pool) The Company will make every reasonable effort to complete all training associated with the final transfer period within 6 months of transfer period ending.

The job posting will be filled by the Company according to seniority. All employees wishing to either maintain their current bid job or to obtain a new bid job must apply.
