Job Shadowing. Job shadowing is an opportunity for employees to explore other roles within the organization as well as strengthening internal partnerships. Where possible and at management’s discretion, the Employer will provide opportunities for job shadowing. Employees interested in job shadowing must contact their supervisor to make arrangements.
Job Shadowing. Classified employees may be provided job shadowing opportunities to learn the skills and responsibilities of another position related to their career goals. The specific schedule to perform these activities must be agreed upon by the supervisor and classified employee.
Job Shadowing. The District will provide, when available and practical, opportunities for Employees to job shadow and/or fill long-term vacancies for employees in other classifications. Employees shall notify the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources what positions they would like to shadow/substitute.
Job Shadowing. Job shadowing is an opportunity for employees to explore other roles within the organization as well as strengthening internal partnerships. The Employee can shadow up to two (2) four (4) hour sessions in a twelve (12) month period. The employee must receive supervisor approval as part of the application process. The Labor Management Committee will work together to create a mentorship program to promote career advancement, particularly for Black, Indigenous and People of Color.
Job Shadowing. A BRESPA member who wishes to acquaint themselves with the job duties and responsibilities of another position in the bargaining unit shall be allowed to “job shadow” on their own time if it does not interfere with the work duties of the mentor employee. Slight deviations in scheduling may be allowed on an individual basis but are not required. Approval of the mentor’s supervisor must be obtained. Job shadowing is an “observation only” experience. Employees are not allowed to perform any work related activities and will be required to sign a release form agreeing to the above condition.
Job Shadowing. 34 Job shadowing occurs when a Classified employee normally assigned to one position is temporarily released 35 from the employee’s regular assignment in order to observe and learn new job skills from another
Job Shadowing. For the purpose of orientation, newly-employed paraeducators may job "shadow" a currently-employed paraeducator working in the same program at their worksite for one day prior to beginning their assignment.
Job Shadowing. This educational activity takes place within a company or business and entails the observation of a professional in his/her job in order to reach a better understanding of the job role. The observation sessions will go along with moments of re-elaboration. - COMPANY VISITS In agreement with several host companies, there is the possibility for small groups of students to organize visits to companies of interest of the national and international scene, for a better understanding of the organizational functioning of a company, by having the opportunity to visit different divisions. Depending on the availability of the involved company, it will be possible to think of ways of interaction with the figures that will guide this experience, in order to make participation effective for one's professional growth. Job Shadowing. This program enables a faculty member to observe, evaluate, and work with an expert or professional whose occupation is related to the faculty member's own academic specialization, and must augment or enhance the faculty member's understanding of his/her field.
Job Shadowing. The Employer and the Union recognize that job shadowing is an effective training tool. The Employer shall therefore permit job shadowing with the understanding that:
A. The Union shall provide prior notice including names of persons shadowing as well as those shadowed.
B. That upon prior notification by the Union of a job shadowing event the Employer may withdraw or modify its permission.
