Promotion Raises. 1. All tenured employees and librarians receiving promotions shall receive a 9% increase to their base salary. In addition, employees promoted to Assistant Professor/Assistant University Librarian shall receive an additional $3,000 base increase; employees promoted to Associate Professor/Associate University Librarian shall receive an additional $5,000 base increase; employees promoted to Professor/ University Librarian shall receive an additional $7,000 base increase.

Promotion Raises. A bargaining unit faculty member who is promoted in academic rank shall receive an increase to his or her annual base salary on the effective date of the promotion, as follows: Promotion to associate professor of practice/instruction: the greater of ten percent (10%) or $3,000. Promotion to professor of practice/instruction: the greater of twelve percent (12%) or $4,000. Promotion to associate professor: the greater of ten percent (10%) or $7,000. Promotion to professor: the greater of twelve percent (12%) or $10,000.

All Career Non-Tenure Track bargaining unit faculty members who achieve promotion will receive an increase of at least 8% salary. These raises will become effective with the next regular appointment concurrent with or following the effective date of the promotion.

  • Promotion A promotion shall mean the transfer of an employee to a higher level position of more responsibility as well as salary.

  • Promotional Criteria Subject to the utilisation of the skills, as required by the Employer, an employee remains at this level until he/she has developed the skills to allow the employee to effectively perform the tasks required of this function and is assessed to be competent to perform effectively at a higher level or has successfully completed appropriate training to ASF level 2 and has the demonstrated skills to perform at a higher level. An employee must be prepared to undertake appropriate training. In all cases, it is the employee’s responsibility to make proper application for such positions. If an employee meets the minimum and special qualifications for a position, he/she will be considered.
