Promotional Criteria. Subject to the utilisation of the skills, as required by the Employer, An employee remains at this level until he/she has developed the skills to allow the employee to effectively perform the tasks required of this function and is assessed to be competent to perform effectively at a higher level or has successfully completed appropriate training to ASF level 3 and has the demonstrated skills to perform at a higher level. An employee must be prepared to undertake appropriate training.
Promotional Criteria. The following criteria shall be used for promotions:
(A) All ranks within the Division of Police shall be classified.
(B) All promotions shall come from within the Division of Police.
(C) All promotional vacancies shall be filled from eligible lists established by fair and objective promotional examinations in accordance with the promotional examination procedures set forth in Section 15.3.
(D) Promotions shall occur in the following order: Police Officer to Police Sergeant, Police Sergeant to Police Lieutenant, and Police Lieutenant to Police Commander.
(E) To be eligible for the next promotional examination, an applicant must have a least three (3) years of accredited service in the Division of Police as a Police Officer immediately prior to the giving of the examination for the rank of Police Sergeant, and at least one (1) year of accredited service in the Division of Police in the next lower rank immediately prior to the giving of the examination for each successive rank, unless a job analysis time-in-grade study mandates other time requirements.
(F) Promotional eligible lists shall be for two (2) years from the certification date of the eligible list.
(G) After promotional examinations have been conducted, the Columbus Civil Service Commission (Commission) shall prepare an eligible list ranking the candidates in the order of their combined scores and seniority, consistent with current test administration practice. All promotional vacancies shall be filled from a certification list developed from the eligible list.
(H) A new eligible list will be available as soon as practicable upon the expiration of the old eligible list.
(I) Seniority points shall only be added to passing scores, shall be credited towards promotional examination scores, and will be accumulated in the following manner:
(1) Five-tenths (0.5) of a point shall be awarded for each six (6) month increment during the first four (4) years of accredited service in the Division.
(2) Three-tenths (0.3) of a point shall be awarded for each six (6) month increment during the next ten (10) years of accredited service in the Division, for a maximum of ten (10) points.
(3) On promotional examinations for ranks above Police Sergeant, the above shall apply and, in addition, an applicant shall be awarded one (1) point for each of the first five (5) years of accredited service in the rank which makes the applicant eligible for the promotional examination.

Promotional Criteria. An employee remains at this level until they are capable of effectively performing through assessment or appropriate certification the tasks required of this function so as to enable them to progress to the next level as a position becomes available.
Promotional Criteria. Associate Faculty may apply for the promotion to Senior Associate Faculty once they have completed the following three (3) requirements:
Promotional Criteria. In addition to meeting the baseline criteria, a clinical faculty member at the rank of the Clinical Assistant Professor or above must demonstrate professional development in the areas of teaching, nursing scholarship, and service. The evidence in her/his basic file in each area, assessed holistically, must demonstrate growth in two respects: the domain of the work’s influence and the increasing leadership assumed by the individual. For promotion to the rank of Clinical Associate Professor, the candidate’s work must demonstrate ongoing growth in influence beyond a merely local domain and must show leadership as well as participation in interdisciplinary health or health-care related activities. For promotion to the rank of Clinical Professor, the candidate’s work must demonstrate sustained influence within the national and/or international domain and significant, sustained leadership within and impact on interdisciplinary health or health-care related activities beyond the local domain.

19.1.4 Manufacturing/Production Employee Level 4 - Entry Level Laboratory Tester Level 1 (MP-4)
(a) Definition
Promotional Criteria. 1. Tenured faculty may apply for the promotion to Senior Tenured Faculty once they have completed the following three (3) requirements:
Promotional Criteria. In cases of promotion, other than appointment to positions outside the bargaining unit and for Engineers, the Chief in making recommendation to the Police and Fire Commission shall base the recommendation on the following factors: job knowledge, peer input, and seniority. These factors shall be given equal weight in recommending an employee for a promotion, unless the Chief determines that the factors should be weighted, in which case, all applicants shall be considered on the same standards and the weights to be given to each criteria shall be included in the job posting. In no event, shall the weight given to seniority be less than ten percent (10%). Peer Input shall be determined by peer appraisal of an applicant’s ability to perform in the promoted position and their ranking of the applicants based on that appraisal. The Chief shall make the recommendation for promotion from among the employees who receive the top three highest composite scores.
Promotional Criteria. After teaching of greater than or equal to 50% FTEF for nine (9) contiguous quarters or more, excluding summer, associate faculty may apply for Distinguished Associate Faculty status. Distinguished Associate Faculty perform all duties required of Associate faculty. In order to receive the annual stipend, each year they must submit documentation to the appropriate xxxx of participation in the following activities:
1. One office hour per week, per course taught.
2. Participation in campus or departmental assessment activities.
3. Complete a Faculty Self-Assessment tool and create a Professional Development Plan.
4. Satisfactory student and peer/administrator evaluations required for most quarters based on the evaluation schedule.
5. Participation in three in-services (Part or Full-time) per academic year (for those faculty who teach 76% or more, credit will not be for in-service since those days are already compensated, substitute optional items (*) for the in-service credit).
6. Selection of one of the following activities:
a. Participation in the new student advising sessions each quarter, or b. Observe three (3) associate faculty each quarter, or
