Relationship Building Clause Samples
The Relationship Building clause establishes the parties' commitment to fostering a cooperative and constructive working relationship throughout the duration of the agreement. It typically outlines expectations for open communication, regular meetings, and collaborative problem-solving to address any issues that may arise. By formalizing these practices, the clause helps prevent misunderstandings and promotes a positive, productive partnership, ultimately reducing the risk of disputes and enhancing the overall success of the contractual relationship.

Relationship Building. The issues and approaches to relationship building are outlined in the previous section. The importance of this phase cannot be over-stressed. Begin the process by identifying mutual values and creating mutual goals among all parties to the agreement Consider a relationship-building agreement prior to one focused on jurisdictional or technical issues (see the link to a protocol agreement in the next section) Develop cross-cultural awareness and competence as well as trust and respect at the outset of the process (see the ▇▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇ Sioux case study for an example) If desired, develop protocols regarding how to start, conduct and end meetings (e.g. smudging, blessings, use of talking stick/feather, etc.)

Relationship Building. The PSC will continue training in relationship building and conflict resolution, as the Parties consider necessary. Agenda Setting The agenda of the PSC will be set by the co-chairs appointed by the Parties, in consultation with the facilitator. In the event of a dispute, the facilitator will set the agenda.

Relationship Building. It is important that Eden and partnership agencies develop a good working relationship, understanding each others aims and how they can mutually benefit each other. Agency workers should be briefed before each GDO, there is a ‘staff survival’ guide which can be referred to along with this SLA. Agency workers should take part in the activities, help engage service users, be motivated, enthusiastic and support Eden staff to deliver the greatest day possible.

(1) Alberta, in accordance with the Protocol Agreement on Government to Government Relations (May 2008), agrees to engage provincial departments and facilitate relationships between the Assembly of Treaty Chiefs in Alberta and provincial departments to identify and support opportunities to address issues that may affect or have an impact on the educational outcomes of First Nation students.
(2) Canada agrees to engage other federal departments and facilitate their involvement in partnerships with provincial and First Nation parties, where their participation will contribute to improving First Nation student outcomes in Alberta.
(3) The Parties agree to engage in strategic discussions, in the development or implementation of all initiatives, programs or other matters that affect the educational outcomes of First Nation students.
(4) The Parties agree to actively encourage the development of collaborative frameworks between provincial school authorities and local First Nation communities.
