Responsibility Allowance for Work Outside the Bargaining Unit. (a) When the Employer temporarily assigns an employee to carry out the responsibilities of a salaried employee outside of the bargaining unit for a period in excess of one-half (½) shift, the employee shall receive an allowance of seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) for each shift from the time of the assignment. (b) Where an RN is absent from their normal shift, and the Employer temporarily assigns an RPN to carry out some additional responsibilities of the absent RN for a period in excess of one-half (½) shift, the employee shall receive an allowance of seven dollars and fifty cents ($7.50) for each shift.

(b) Where an RN is absent from their her normal shift, and the Employer temporarily assigns an RPN to carry out some additional responsibilities of the absent RN for a period in excess of one-half (½) shift, the employee shall receive an allowance of seven eight dollars and fifty cents ($7.508.00) for each shift.
(c) When an RN and an RPN exchange shifts between themselves, it is understood that the above premium does not apply.
