Safety Glasses Reimbursement. For those employees who wear prescription glasses, one (1) pair of basic prescription safety glasses will be reimbursed up to a maximum of $250.00 during the term of this agreement for damaged glasses during the course of normal work (and not as result of carelessness) or replacement lenses due to a change in prescription requirements. Basic safety glasses include fames, standard lenses and permanent side xxxxxxx. Approval by Street Superintendent is required prior to the purchase of prescription safety glasses by the City. Eye appointments shall not take place during working hours unless sick time is used.
Safety Glasses Reimbursement. If an employee’s Department Head determines there is a need for an employee to use safety glasses as part of their job, the employee may be reimbursed up to $400 per fiscal year for the purchase of prescription safety glasses. Employees must submit a receipt(s) (which indicates the glasses purchased are for safety). If the employee chooses safety glasses in excess of $400 per fiscal year, they must pay the difference directly to the provider. The employee will be reimbursed within thirty (30) days from the date Finance receives the reimbursement request from the employee’s supervisor. Supervisors shall forward the employee’s request for reimbursement to Finance within thirty (30) days of it being submitted.

  • Meal Reimbursement 1. If an employee is required to work one and one-half (1-1/2) hours before or beyond his/her normal working day or on overtime for emergency purposes or for extended work periods of five (5) or more hours in length on a day that is not the employee’s regular work day, and the employee is not exercising flexible work hours, the employee shall be reimbursed for the actual cost of a meal/food items not to exceed $18.00, plus tip (not to exceed 15%) and applicable taxes. Reimbursement is contingent upon the employee providing receipts.
