Educational Reimbursement. Employees covered by this Agreement may participate in the County's General Education Reimbursement Program. The eligibility requirements and the amount, type and condition precedent to obtaining reimbursement, will be established by the County. Participation in this program is intended to cover undergraduate/graduate and other coursework consistent with the program's guidelines.

Educational Reimbursement. 7.10.1. The Employer is desirous of having employees participate in courses and training opportunities to enhance their skills and enable them to advance to other positions. Accordingly, it shall be the Employer's goal to assist full-time, regular employees in the furtherance of this policy by offering a tuition reimbursement program for courses or training at accredited colleges and universities.
Educational Reimbursement. SECTION 1. The purpose of this Article is to xxxxxx a learning environment and provide educational opportunities that are mutually beneficial to the employees and the County and will encourage eligible employees to participate in education programs which will further their skills and knowledge for use in their current position or for use in a possible future position of greater responsibility. The Educational Reimbursement Program shall be a plan as provided for in Section 127 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”) and shall be construed consistently with the requirements of Section 127. Amounts paid for tuition reimbursement meeting the requirements of Section 127 of the IRS Tax Code are not included in an Employee’s income or subject to income tax withholding up to a maximum of $5,250 annually. If subsequent tax law changes fail to continue the tax-free treatment, or in any way modify its treatment, appropriate adjustments in tax withholding will be made from the effective date of the change. This Article does not apply to training seminars, conferences, workshops, etc.
Educational Reimbursement. The City’s policy of reimbursing employees who voluntarily engage in educational activities beneficial to both the City and themselves shall be continued without change for the duration of this Memorandum of Understanding. This policy contemplates the future growth and development of the City and its employees through encouragement and financial aid to those individuals who seek to increase their knowledge an improve their skills. The implementation of this program shall be subject to the availability of funds for educational purposes and the appropriateness of the subject matter as outlined below.

Such reimbursement shall not exceed one thousand ($1,000) dollars per calendar year.
Educational Reimbursement. A) The City will reimburse tuition costs and general fees for courses taken at an educationally accredited college or university by full-time permanent employees. Such course work must be approved prior to enrolling by submitting documentation that the course(s) is necessary toward a degree which is required for a position in the City (including electives for that degree). Thereafter, the course work must be approved by the Department Head and finally to the Director of Human Resources. The fact that a specific course is required for a degree major where the degree with such a major exists as a minimum requirement for a higher classification will be relevant.

Educational Reimbursement. (a) The City shall reimburse tuition costs for job-related or degree required courses taken at an educationally accredited college or university by full-time permanent employees. Such course work must be approved as job-related prior to enrolling by submitting a description of the course to the office of the Chief of Police. In the event there is a dispute, the Academic Review Committee shall determine the status of the job- related course. The academic review committee shall consist of one member selected by the Chief of Police, one member selected by the Association, and the third member selected by the first two.
Educational Reimbursement. SECTION 1: Full time employees enrolled for accredited extension or formal educational courses may request reimbursement for tuition, fees, and supplies. Approval for reimbursement shall only be considered when the education maintains or improves the employee’s skill in the area in which they are employed.
