Seniority – Maintained and Accumulated. Seniority shall be maintained and accumulated under the following conditions: A) while in receipt of WorkSafe BC benefits (wage loss replacement and rehabilitation benefits); B) absence due to maternity leave as provided for in this Agreement; C) absence due to any paid leave for the period of the leave; D) absence due to the conduct of Union business; E) absence due to lay-offs, for the first twenty (20) work days; F) absence due to a general unpaid leave of absence, for the first twenty (20) work days; and G) absence while on a long-term disability claim (including the qualifying period). For time periods in excess of those expressed above, seniority shall be maintained but not accumulated.
