Shop Xxxxxxx Recognition. The Company agrees to recognize two (2) Shop Stewards as designated by the Union. The Company shall accord a hearing to the Shop Stewards for settlement of disputes and grievances.
Shop Xxxxxxx Recognition. The Employer and the Union agree that Shop Stewards play a useful role in Employer– employee relations. It is recognized that Shop Stewards shall be elected or appointed by the Union from time to time and the Employer will be kept informed by the Union of such appointments or elections. Two (2) Shop Stewards (three (3) in stores with over fifty (50) employees and four (4) in stores with over one hundred (100) employees) per store will be elected or appointed by the Union. Only up to two (2) Shop Stewards are entitled to attend JLM meetings. They are recognized for the purpose of overseeing the terms of the Collective Agreement being implemented and for the purpose of presenting complaints and Grievances to designated Management of the store. The Shop Xxxxxxx and, in the absence of the Shop Xxxxxxx, another member of the Bargaining Unit of the employee’s choice shall be present when a member of the Bargaining Unit is given a reprimand which is to be entered on the employee’s personnel file or is suspended or discharged. A copy of all such formal notices of discipline shall be given to the Union through the Shop Xxxxxxx.
Shop Xxxxxxx Recognition. The Employer will recognize one Shop Xxxxxxx per location, and in the absence of the Shop Xxxxxxx one designated Alternate Shop Xxxxxxx per location, selected in accordance with the Union rules and regulations as the representatives of the employees and recognizes that the power to appoint and removal thereof is solely vested with the Union. There shall be no discrimination against Shop Stewards for lawful Union activities and Shop Stewards shall reasonably balance their duties with their regular work assignment. The Union shall inform the Employer of the named Chief Xxxxxxx and a designated Alternate who shall be chosen from among the Shop Stewards.
Shop Xxxxxxx Recognition. (a) It is recognized that Shop Stewards may be elected or appointed by the Union from time to time and the Employer will be kept informed by the Union of such appointments or elections. The Employer agrees to recognize Shop Stewards and Alternate Shop Stewards for the purpose of overseeing the implementation of the terms of the Collective Agreement and for the purpose of presenting complaints and grievances to Management. The Employer will notify a shop xxxxxxx of each new hire and permit the shop xxxxxxx on paid time, not to exceed fifteen (15) minutes, to introduce the member to the union within the first thirty (30) days of work. The Employer shall charge the cost of this fifteen (15) minutes to the Union and the Employer shall be reimbursed within thirty (30) business days.
(b) The Shop Xxxxxxx and, in the absence of the Shop Xxxxxxx, another member of the Bargaining Unit of the employee's choice, shall be present when a member of the Bargaining Unit:
Shop Xxxxxxx Recognition. Shop Stewards may introduce new members to the Union on their own time, to present membership and checkoff cards for signature. When a Shop Xxxxxxx is investigating a grievance or a complaint on Company time, the Xxxxxxx must first obtain permission from his/her immediate Supervisor or the Store Manager. Such permission will not be unreasonably denied.
1. The Company agrees to recognize up to two (2) Union Shop Stewards and one (1) Alternate Shop Xxxxxxx.
2. Alternate Shop Stewards will be recognized when the Shop Xxxxxxx is absent. The Union shall inform the Employer in writing of the Alternate Shop Stewards.
Shop Xxxxxxx Recognition. (a) It is recognized that Shop Stewards may be elected or appointed by the Union from time to time and the Employer will be kept informed by the Union of such appointments or elections. The Employer agrees to recognize Shop Stewards and Alternate Shop Stewards for the purpose of overseeing the implementation of the terms of the Collective Agreement and for the purpose of presenting complaints and grievances to Xxxxx Xxxx or his designate. Shop Stewards may introduce new members to the Union on their own time to present membership cards for signature.
(b) The Shop Xxxxxxx and, in the absence of the Shop Xxxxxxx, another member of the Bargaining Unit of the employee's choice, shall be present when a member of the Bargaining Unit:

The Employer agrees to recognize Shop Stewards and Alternate Shop Stewards for the purpose of overseeing the terms of the Collective Agreement being implemented and for the purpose of presenting complaints and Grievances to designated Management of the Employer. Shop Stewards may introduce new members to the Union on their own time. The Shop Xxxxxxx and, in the absence of the Shop Xxxxxxx, another member of the Bargaining Unit of the employee's choice, shall be present when a member of the Bargaining Unit:
A. Is given a reprimand which is to be entered on the employee's personnel file.
B. Is suspended or discharged. When a Shop Xxxxxxx is investigating a Grievance or a complaint on Company time, the Xxxxxxx must first obtain permission from his/her immediate Supervisor or the Manager. Such permission will not be unreasonably denied. The Company agrees to recognize Union Shop Stewards on the following basis:
1. Where there are less than twenty-five (25) employees - a minimum of one (1) Shop Xxxxxxx.
2. In the workplace, where there are twenty-five (25) or more employees - three (3) Shop Stewards and one (1) additional Shop Xxxxxxx for every twenty- five employees thereafter with a minimum of one (1) Shop Xxxxxxx per shift. The parties will endeavour to have equal Shop Xxxxxxx representation on each work shift.
3. Alternate Shop Stewards will be recognized in the Plant when the Shop Xxxxxxx is absent. The Union shall inform the Employer in writing of the Alternate Shop Stewards.
Shop Xxxxxxx Recognition. The Shop Stewards selected by the Union and recognized by the Company shall be allowed reasonable time off during working hours for the purposes of investigation and discussion of submitted grievances. Such time will not unduly disrupt the work of the Shop Xxxxxxx or the grievor. When the Company finds it necessary to layoff or discharge a Shop Xxxxxxx the Union shall be notified prior to such layoff or discharge. In the case of a layoff, the Company agrees to give notice to the Union as described in Clause 12.8.
Shop Xxxxxxx Recognition. (a) Shop Stewards shall be recognized by the Company, and the Union agrees to notify the Company as to the Shop Xxxxxxx’x names and dates of appointment or election.
(b) The Parties agree that the Shop Stewards shall attend to grievances so as not to unreasonably interfere with the performance of his/her duties as an Employee.
(c) The Company agrees that, where permission has been granted to a Shop Xxxxxxx to leave his/her duties temporarily for the purpose of dealing with a grievance, such Shop Xxxxxxx shall suffer no loss of pay for time spent away from normal duties and hours of work.

The Co-operative agrees to recognize Shop Stewards and Alternate Shop Stewards for the purpose of overseeing the terms of the Collective Agreement being implemented and for the purpose of presenting complaints and grievances to designated management of the store. Shop Stewards may introduce new members to the Union on their own time, to present membership cards for signature.
