Short Term Paid Leave. 1. The parties agree that the issue of short term paid leave has been addressed at the central table and will remain status quo with the exception of the following. 2. Local parties shall ensure that within their local (Part B) collective agreement terms, existing language with respect to short term paid leave shall be amended to allow Indigenous employees to use existing short term paid leave for purposes of: a. Voting in elections as indicated by a self-governing Indigenous authority where the employee’s working hours do not otherwise provide three consecutive hours free from work; and b. Attendance at Indigenous cultural/ceremonial events. 3. For clarity, provisions with regard to the number of days of short term paid leave shall not be subject to local bargaining or amendment by local parties and remain status quo at a maximum of five (5) days per school year.

Short Term Paid Leave. The parties agree that the issue of short term paid leave has been addressed at the central table and will remain status quo with the exception of the following.
Short Term Paid Leave. Notwithstanding Article, 25.1 and 25.2, a total of 5 days are available, in total, for personal and/or family leave, in accordance with the Central Agreement (Letter of Understanding #6, Section 3).
Short Term Paid Leave. Personal leave with pay, to a total of five (5) days per school year, may be granted for reasons which are unavoidable or extraordinary. Such leave shall be granted at the discretion of the Principal, in consultation with the designated supervisory officer. Such leave will be deducted from accumulated sick leave. Personal leave cannot be accumulated.

  • Short-Term Leave and Disability Plan Top up i. Teachers accessing STLDP will have access to any unused Sick Leave Days from their last year worked for the purpose of topping up salary to one hundred percent (100%) under the STLDP. ii. This top-up is calculated as follows: Eleven (11) days less the number of sick leave days used in the most recent year worked. iii. Each top-up from ninety percent (90%) to one hundred percent (100%) requires the corresponding fraction of a day available for top- up. iv. In addition to the top-up bank, top-up for compassionate reasons may be considered at the discretion of the board on a case by case basis. The top-up will not exceed two (2) days and is dependent on having two (2) unused Short Term Paid Leave Days in the current year. These days can be used to top-up salary under the STLDP. v. When Teachers use any part of an STLDP day they may access their top up bank to top up their salary to one hundred percent (100%).
