Sick Leave Accrual Pay Out. Any eligible bargaining unit employee having accumulated unused Sick Leave credit who is separated from employment by retiring as set forth in the Public Employees’ Retirement System contract or, for reason of death or abolishment of position, shall be paid fifty percent (50%) of said employee’s daily rate of pay for each day of accumulated and unused Sick Leave credit as of the date of said retirement, death, or abolishment of position. The sick leave maximum accrual of 200 days shall not apply to affected classifications. However, the maximum pay out of 50% of accumulated, unused sick leave at the time of retirement, death or abolishment of position remains at a cash value not to exceed 100 days of pay. Sick leave cash out shall be eliminated for all employees hired on or after July 1, 2020.

  • Sick Leave Accrual Full-time employees will accrue eight (8) hours of sick leave in a calendar month. Part- time employees will accrue sick leave credit on the same proportional basis that their employment schedule bears to a full-time schedule, up to a maximum of eight (8) hours in a calendar month.

  • Sick Leave Accumulation Employees hired prior to January 1, 2019 shall accumulate sick leave at the following rates: Years of Service Sick leave hours 0-5 years 120 hours per year (15 days) 6-10 years 130 hours per year (16 days)

  • Vacation Leave Accrual ‌ After a full-time employee has been in pay status for eighty (80) non-overtime hours in a calendar month, the employee will accrue vacation leave according to the rate schedule below. Vacation leave accrual for part-time employees will be proportionate to the number of hours the part-time employee is in pay status during the month to that required for full-time employment.

  • Vacation Accrual Rates Laid off employees who are re-employed shall have the vacation accrual rate they held immediately prior to layoff restored.
