Sick Leave, Vacation. Where an employee qualifies for sick leave due to illness or injury during the period of vacation time, leave shall displace vacation leave. An illness or occurring while the employee is on scheduled vacation time shall not be accepted as a claim for sick leave benefits unless recuperation involves hospitalization or confinement to bed by order of a medical practitioner. Written medical of such illness or injury and hospitalization or Confinement must be provided to the Employer in order for the employee io be eligible for sick leave benefits.
