This clause only applies to YMCA Workplaces managed or operated by the Employer under contract with Local Government and will not be relied upon by a YMCA Workplace more than once each calendar year.

Span of Ordinary Hours. 11.2.1 The span of ordinary hours is from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday. 11.2.2 However, the Employer may request that an Employee work ordinary hours on one Evening per week, Monday to Friday, without a penalty loading applying to that work. An Employee may refuse the request on reasonable grounds including, but not limited to, where an Employee has primary carer responsibilities.

All ordinary hours of work will be worked between 6.00am and 6.00pm Monday to Friday, unless otherwise expressly noted in this Agreement or otherwise agreed to under clause 1.12.1 (Individual Flexibility Arrangement). 3.4.2. By consent between NextSense and the Employee, an Employee may work up to ten (10) ordinary hours of work in one day. 3.4.3. Work performed in excess of ordinary hours, when appropriately approved by NextSense and not otherwise expressly excluded by any other clause in this agreement, will be paid at overtime rates in accordance with clause 5.10, with reference to clause 2.6.10 for part-time Employees. 3.4.4. Unless otherwise agreed, or due to change of rosters or unforeseen circumstances, all Employees will ordinarily be entitled to a minimum of ten (10) hours break between finishing work on one day and commencing work on the next.
