Statewide Committee. The Chairs of the Regional Committees are the voting members of the Statewide Committee. An Associate may be a non-voting member of the Statewide Committee. Further, the Statewide Committee also may include as non-voting members representatives from the Washington State Department of Health Office of Drinking Water, Washington State Department of Ecology, Washington State Emergency Management Division, Rural Community Assistance Corporation, Evergreen Rural Water of Washington, Washington State Public Health Laboratory, EPA Region 10, Washington Association of Sewer and Water Districts, and the Washington PUD Association. Under the leadership of a Statewide Committee Chair elected by majority vote of the voting members of the Statewide Committee, the Statewide Committee shall plan and coordinate emergency planning and response activities for the Network.

A Statewide Joint Committee on health and safety will be established consisting of two (2) representatives of the Union appointed by the Union and two (2) representatives of the Employer appointed by the Office of the State Employer, hereinafter referred to as the Statewide Committee. Each party will make a good faith effort to appoint at least one (1) member who has professional training in industrial hygiene or safety. The Statewide Committee shall meet at least quarterly at mutually agreeable times and places. Agendas will be established in advance. Minutes will be prepared for each meeting and a copy given to the International Union members. Additionally, at least annually, the Statewide Committee shall convene a comprehensive health and safety meeting which shall include the Union Departmental Health and Safety representatives, including the Cadillac Place Health & Safety Committee Chairperson, representatives of the Employer and such other representatives of the parties as the Statewide Committee deems appropriate. The purpose of this annual meeting is to review health and safety concerns and to coordinate a consistent approach to resolving those concerns. Union Representatives shall be permitted time off the job, for travel and to attend these meetings. Any pay provided by the Employer for this meeting is governed by Civil Service Rules and Regulations.
Statewide Committee. A committee consisting of representatives from Members and other agencies that may have a role to play in the Mutual Aid and Assistance Program (e.g., public health, emergency management, rural water, water utility organizations) that shall administer the WARN Program for the state.
Statewide Committee. The parties shall establish a Labor Management Committee [hereinafter referred to as "LMC"] which shall be a standing committee for the duration of this Agreement. The LMC shall meet at least every other month at a mutually agreed upon time and place on paid status for all members, to include travel time. The Union and the Employer shall each appoint one co-chairperson, one official note taker and one member from each state agency at which the Union represents employees unless mutually agreed to the contrary. Both parties shall be allowed to appoint one alternate from each state agency at which the Union represents employees. In the absence of the appointed member, an alternate may attend the LMC on paid status to include travel time. The LMC shall be free to address, without restriction, any topic of mutual interest or concern which affects working conditions of bargaining unit employees. It is understood and agreed that while the parties shall not be restricted in the topics to be addressed other than set forth above, neither the discussions, nor the outcome thereof shall be considered or treated as constituting a binding agreement between the parties unless reduced to writing, specifically identified in the body thereof as constituting such an agreement, and signed and dated by the authorized representatives of the parties respectively (such as a Memorandum of Understanding).

  • Conference Committee The Conference Committee shall meet at least quarterly. It shall consist of the three elected representatives of the nurses plus one clinical unit representative appointed by the nurse bargaining unit, and an Association staff member, and five representatives of the Employer to include the Chief Nursing Executive and/or designee and one member of the Employer’s contract negotiating team. The purpose of the Conference Committee is to act in an advisory capacity to xxxxxx problem solving through communications between the Employer and nurses in the bargaining unit and deal with matters of nursing practice and general concern to the parties. Major organizational or policy changes in the nursing department that have a direct bearing on nursing practice or working conditions shall be an appropriate subject for discussion by the Conference Committee. Attendance at Conference Committee will be considered work time and will be paid at the regular rate of pay. A general group “grievance” as defined in this Agreement coming before the Conference Committee which is not resolved by the parties may be submitted in accordance with Article 18 at Step Two of the Grievance Procedure.

  • Union Grievance Committee (a) The Employer shall recognize a Union Grievance Committee which consists of:

  • Grievance Committee The Hospital will recognize a Grievance Committee composed of the Chief Xxxxxxx and not more than (as set out in Local Provisions Appendix) employees selected by the Union who have completed their probationary period. A general representative of the Union may be present at any meeting of the Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to deal with complaints or grievances as set out in this Collective Agreement. The Union shall keep the Hospital notified in writing of the names of the members of the Grievance Committee appointed or selected under this Article as well as the effective date of their respective appointments. A Committee member shall suffer no loss of earnings for time spent during their regular scheduled working hours in attending grievance meetings with the Hospital up to, but not including arbitration. The number of employees on the Grievance Committee shall be determined locally.

  • COMPLIANCE COMMITTEE (1) Within thirty (30) days of the date of this Agreement, the Board shall appoint a Compliance Committee of at least three (3) directors, of which no more than one (1) shall be an employee or controlling shareholder of the Bank or any of its affiliates (as the term “affiliate” is defined in 12 U.S.C. § 371c(b)(1)), or a family member of any such person. Upon appointment, the names of the members of the Compliance Committee and, in the event of a change of the membership, the name of any new member shall be submitted in writing to the Assistant Deputy Comptroller. The Compliance Committee shall be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the Bank's adherence to the provisions of this Agreement.

  • LABOR MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE 1. A Statewide Labor Management Committee consisting of not more than five (5) members selected by the VSEA from among bargaining units represented by VSEA and not more than five (5) members selected by the State shall meet periodically to discuss a mutually agreed agenda which may include methods of improving labor relations, productivity, safety, and health problems of a continuing nature, or other problems which have an impact on conditions of employment; provided, however, these sessions are not for the purpose of discussing pending grievances or for collective bargaining on any subject.

  • Health Care Committee A Health Insurance Committee shall be established and maintained with at least three (3) representatives appointed by the Association and three (3) representatives appointed by the Superintendent. The purpose of the Committee shall be to make recommendations designed to optimize the quality of health care available to District employees and improve cost effectiveness of the health insurance program. Committee members shall review data, work with the District insurance consultant, collaborate on making recommendations for changes in plan design, review bids by insurance companies, and ultimately consider recommending plan changes to their respective constituencies. The Committee is not empowered to unilaterally make changes in health care benefits without ratification by the Association and approval by the Board. The creation of the Committee does not diminish or in any way reduce the Board’s and Association’s rights or responsibilities.

  • Safety Committee 62.1 Where a Health and Safety Committee is established on a job in accordance with section 72 of the OHS Act, it shall include the Employer’s Site Safety Supervisor and the Health and Safety Representative/s.

Therefore, the parties shall establish Labor/Management Committees (LMC), in accordance with the provisions in this Article, for the purpose of addressing matters of concern in the areas of personnel policies, practices, conditions of employment, and other matters affecting employees. Each LMC will be co-chaired by one member from labor and one member from management.
