Status While on Leave. Leave does not constitute a break in service for purposes of seniority, or longevity, or any employee benefit plan.

An unrequested leave of absence shall be effective as of the last duty day of the regular school year as per the school calendar, or at such earlier time as mutually agreed between the School Board and the individual teacher even though the date for final notice of placement on ULA is June 30. A teacher on such leave may engage in teaching or any other occupation during the period of such leave, and may be eligible for unemployment compensation pursuant to the criteria for eligibility under the Unemployment Compensation Act.
Status While on Leave a. Time on sabbatical leave shall be counted as regular service for purposes of salary advancement or reclassification and for retirement purposes.
Status While on Leave. Any teacher placed on unrequested leave of absence shall remain eligible for all teacher benefit plans, but must pay the entire premium during the period of such leave. Any teacher placed on such leave may engage in teaching or any other occupation during such period and may be eligible for unemployment compensation if otherwise eligible under the Unemployment Compensation Act for such compensation. Such leave will not result in a loss of credit for years of service in the School District earned prior to the commencement of such leave. A teacher shall accrue additional seniority credit for the time spent on unrequested leave.
Status While on Leave. During the time of an extended leave, the employee shall be treated as current employee for purposes of staff reduction and other employment decisions.
Status While on Leave. All rights and privileges, including status on the salary schedule and banked leave, that would have been earned by the teacher on sabbatical leave should such teacher have been actively engaged in the service of the School District should accrue to such teacher.

Any Teacher placed on un-requested leave of absence shall remain eligible for all hospital/medical and dental insurance plans subject to the approval of the insurance carrier, but must pay the entire premium during the period of such leave. A Teacher shall retain his/her seniority date during the time spent on un-requested leave.

Any teacher placed on unrequested leave of absence shall remain eligible for group insurance benefits at the teacher’s expense. A teacher electing to continue group insurance benefits must arrange for the prepayment of premiums through the District’s group insurance administrator on a monthly basis. A teacher on such leave may engage in teaching or any other occupation during the period of such leave, and may be eligible for unemployment compensation pursuant to the criteria for eligibility under the Unemployment Compensation Act.
Status While on Leave. Any teacher placed on ULA shall remain eligible to participate in all teacher benefit plans, subject to the approval of the insurance carrier. The teacher shall pay the entire premium for such insurance commencing with the beginning of the leave and shall pay to the School District the monthly premium in advance. Non-payment shall result in immediate policy cancellation. Any teacher placed on such leave may engage in teaching or any other occupation during such period and may be eligible under the Unemployment Compensation Act for such compensation, and such leave will not result in loss of credit for years of service in the School District earned prior to the commencement of such leave if the teacher is subsequently reinstated.
