STRIKES AND SANCTIONS. 18.1 The Association and the Board subscribe to the principle that differences shall be resolved without interruption of the school program. The Association, therefore, agrees that it will not sponsor or support any strike, sanction, or work stoppage, nor will the Association sponsor or support any other concerted refusal to perform work by the employees covered by this Agreement, nor will the Association sponsor or support any instigation thereof during the life of this Agreement, nor shall the Board engage in any form of lockout against teachers.
STRIKES AND SANCTIONS. Section 1 Neither the Association nor any persons acting in its behalf will cause, authorize, or support, nor will any of its employees take part in, any strike or stoppage of work as defined by Section 1 of the Michigan Public Acts #336 of 1947 as amended for any purpose whatsoever. The Association will not support the action of any employee taken in violation of Section 1 nor will it directly or indirectly take reprisals of any kind against any employee who continues or attempts to continue the proper performance of his duties or who refuses to participate in any of the activities prohibited by Section 1. Violation of Section 1 by any employee or group of employees will constitute just cause for discipline up to and including discharge.

The Association, its officers, agents, and members will not cause, sponsor, encourage or engage in any strikes, slowdowns, sanctions, professional alerts (so-called), or any other activity that might interfere with the normal operation of schools by the Board, and will not cause, sponsor, encourage, or request the imposition by others of sanctions, professional alerts (so-called), or any other activities that might interfere with the normal operation of schools by the Board. If sanctions, professional alerts, or any other activities that might interfere with the normal operation of schools are imposed by other parties, the Association will promptly and publicly request such other parties to cease such conduct immediately. There shall be no lockouts for the duration of this Agreement.

C. Willful violation of this Article by any employee or group of Employee will constitute just cause for discharge and/or the imposition of discipline or penalties.
D. The Board of Education, in the event of violation of this Article, will have the right, in addition to the foregoing and any other remedies available at law, to seek injunction relief and damages against the Association.
E. Violators of the terms of this Article shall forfeit all benefits as specified by the current contract while the member is under violation.
STRIKES AND SANCTIONS. 7.01 The Association and the Board subscribe to the principle that differences shall be resolved by peaceful and appropriate means, and agreement shall result from negotiating in good faith without interruption of the entire school program. The Association therefore agrees that it will not instigate, cause, authorize or support any strike, work stoppage, sanction "work to rule", "contract stacking", or other concerted refusal to perform work by the Association.
7.02 The Board shall not engage in any form of lockout against bargaining unit members.
STRIKES AND SANCTIONS. 20.1 The Employer and the Association agree, in keeping with the high standards of the teaching profession, that all differences between them shall be resolved by the orderly procedures provided herein, without interruption of the school program. Accordingly, the Association and the teachers agree that during the term of this Agreement, they will not authorize, instigate, participate in, encourage, or support any cessation or interruption of professional services (i.e., the concerted failure to report for duty, or willful absence of a teacher from his position, or stoppage of work, or abstinence, in whole or in part, from the full, faithful, and proper performance of the teacher’s duties of employment) by any teacher or group of teachers, and pledge themselves to the purposes of insuring continuation of the educational program. Additionally, the District agrees not to lock out members of the bargaining unit during the term of this Agreement.
20.2 A. The Association agrees that it will neither take nor threaten to take any reprisals, directly or indirectly, against any supervisory or administrative personnel or Board members of the District regarding the Administration of this contract or any grievance filed thereunder.
