Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods. 1. A Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods (hereinafter referred to as "Subcommittee") is hereby established.
2. The mandate of the Sub-Committee is set out in Annex IV.
Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods. 1. For the purposes of the effective implementation and operation of this Section, a Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods (hereinafter referred to in this Article as “the Sub- Committee”) shall be established pursuant to Article 165.
2. The Sub-Committee shall meet at such venue and times as may be agreed by the Parties.
3. The functions of the Sub-Committee shall be:
(a) reviewing the implementation and operation of this Section;
(b) reporting the findings of the Sub-Committee to the Joint Committee; and
(c) carrying out other functions which may be delegated by the Joint Committee pursuant to Article 165.
(a) For the purposes of the effective implementation and operation of this Section, the Sub-Committee shall establish a Special Sub-Committee on Steel Products. If necessary, the Sub-Committee may establish any other Special Sub-Committees.
(b) The Special Sub-Committees shall be held at such venue and times as may be agreed by the Parties.
(c) The functions of the Special Sub-Committees shall be:
(i) analyzing relevant matters on the relevant products and its sector, including trade in such products; and
(ii) reporting the findings of the Special Sub- Committees, through the Sub-Committee, to the Joint Committee.
Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods. 1. The Parties hereby establish a Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods (hereinafter referred to in this Article as "the Sub- Committee").
2. The functions of the Sub-Committee shall be: (a) reviewing and monitoring the implementation and operation of this Chapter; (b) considering any other matter related to this Chapter as the Parties may agree; (c) discussing any amendments to Annex 1, in accordance with the amendment of the Harmonized System to ensure that each Party's obligations under this Agreement shall not be altered; (d) consulting on and endeavoring to resolve any difference related to the scope of application of this Chapter that may arise between the Parties; (e) establishing, if necessary, ad hoc working groups to accomplish any specific tasks; (f) reporting the findings of the Sub-Committee to the Commission; and (g) other functions assigned by the Commission.
3. The Sub-Committee shall be composed of government officials of the Parties.
4. The Sub-Committee shall hold meetings, in principle, every two years, and at such times and venues or by means, as may be agreed by the Parties.
Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods. 1. For the purposes of the effective implementation and operation of this Chapter, the functions of the Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods (hereinafter referred to in this Article as “the Sub-Committee”) established in accordance with Article 9 shall be:
(a) reviewing and monitoring the implementation and operation of this Chapter;
(b) discussing any issues related to this Chapter;
(c) reporting the findings and the outcome of discussions of the Sub-Committee to the Joint Committee; and
(d) carrying out other functions as may be delegated by the Joint Committee in accordance with Article 8.
2. The Sub-Committee shall meet at such venue and time as may be agreed by the Parties.
3. The Sub-Committee shall be:
(a) composed of representatives of the Parties; and
(b) co-chaired by officials of the Parties.
Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods. 1. The Parties hereby establish a Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods, comprising of officials of the Parties.
2. For the purposes of effective implementation and operation of this Chapter, the functions of the Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods shall be:
(a) reviewing and monitoring the implementation and operation of this Chapter;
(b) discussing any issues related to this Chapter;
(c) reporting the findings and the outcome of discussions to the Joint Committee;
(d) promoting trade in goods between the Parties, including through consultations on accelerating tariff elimination under this Agreement and other issues as appropriate;
(e) addressing barriers to trade in goods between the Parties, especially those related to the application of non-tariff measures, and, if appropriate, referring such matters to the Joint Committee for its consideration; and
(f) carrying out other functions as may be delegated by the Joint Committee in accordance with Article 11.4 (Joint Committee).
3. The Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods shall meet at a venue and time, to be agreed by the Parties.
Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods. 1. A Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods is hereby established, consisting of government representatives of the Parties.
2. The Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods shall consider any matter arising under this Chapter, including:
(a) monitoring and review of measures taken and implementation of commitments under this Chapter including its Annexes, except for Annexes 2.A (Rules of Origin) and 2.B (Trade Facilitation);
(b) exchange of information and review of developments;
(c) preparation of technical amendments, including HS updating, and assisting the Joint Committee;
(d) preparation of recommendations and reports to the Joint Committee as necessary;
(e) to the extent possible, promptly seeking to address tariff and non-tariff barriers, if not covered by any other Sub-Committee under this Agreement;
(f) addressing issues relating to the administration and operation of bilateral tariff rate quotas;
(g) exchanging import statistics annually which shall cover data pertaining to the most recent year available, including value and, where applicable, volume, at the tariff line level for imports of goods of another Party benefitting from preferential duty treatment under this Agreement, as well as those that received non-preferential treatment; and
(h) any other matter referred to it by the Joint Committee.
3. The Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods shall act by consensus.
4. The Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods shall meet at least every two years or more frequently if so agreed by the Parties. The meetings of the Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods shall be chaired jointly by an EFTA State and India.
Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods. For the purposes of the effective implementation andoperation of this Chapter, the functions of the Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods (hereinafter referred to inthis Article as "the Sub-Committee") established inaccordance with Article 15 shall be: (a) reviewing and monitoring the implementation andoperation of this Chapter; (b) discussing any issues related to this Chapter; (c) reporting the findings of the Sub-Committee tothe Joint Committee; (d) reviewing and making appropriate recommendations,as necessary, to the Joint Committee on theOperational Procedures for Trade in Goodsreferred to in Article 27; and (e) carrying out other functions as may be delegatedby the Joint Committee in accordance with Article 14.
Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods. 1. For the purposes of the effective implementation and operation of this Chapter, a Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods (hereinafter referred to in this Article as “Sub- Committee”) shall be established pursuant to Article 13.
2. The functions of the Sub-Committee shall be:
(a) reviewing the implementation and operation of this Chapter;
(b) reporting the findings of the Sub-Committee to the Joint Committee; and
(c) carrying out other functions which may be delegated by the Joint Committee pursuant to Article 13.
3. The Sub-Committee shall be composed of representatives of the Governments of the Parties, and may invite representatives of relevant entities other than the Governments of the Parties with necessary expertise relevant to the issues to be discussed.
Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods. 1. The Parties hereby establish the Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods (hereinafter referred to as “the Goods Sub-Committee”), comprising representatives of each Party.
2. The Goods Sub-Committee shall meet at such times as the Parties mutually decide to consider any matters arising under this Chapter. Meetings shall take place in such locations and through such means as the Parties mutually decide.
3. The Goods Sub-Committee shall have the following functions:
(a) reviewing and monitoring the implementation and operation of this Chapter;
(b) upon request by either Party, reviewing any amendments to the provisions of this Chapter or improvements to the tariff commitments referred to in paragraph 1 of Article 2.6 (Reduction and Elimination of Customs Duties), and making appropriate recommendations to the Joint Committee thereafter;
(c) reviewing, as needed and if requested by a Party, the amendments to the tariff nomenclature resulting from the modification of the HS to ensure the fulfilment of each Party’s obligations under this Agreement;
(d) identifying and recommending measures to resolve any problem that may arise from the implementation and operation of this Chapter; and
(e) reporting the findings on any other issue arising from the implementation and operation of this Chapter to the Joint Committee.
4. The Goods Sub-Committee shall consult, as appropriate, with other Sub- Committees established under this Agreement when addressing issues of relevance to those Sub-Committees.
Sub-Committee on Trade in Goods. 1. A Sub-Committee of the High-Powered Joint Trade Committee (hereinafter referred to as "Sub-Committee") is hereby established, consisting of representatives of the Parties.
2. The functions of the Sub-Committee shall include:
(a) the monitoring and review of measures taken and implementation of commitments;
(b) the exchange of information and review of developments;
(c) the preparation of technical amendments, including HS updating, and assisting the High-Powered Joint Trade Committee;
(d) any other matter referred to it by the High-Powered Joint Trade Committee; and
(e) the preparation of recommendations and report to the High-Powered Joint Trade Committee as necessary. The Sub-Committee shall establish such subsidiary bodies as may be necessary under this Agreement, inter alia on Customs Procedures, Trade Facilitation and Technical Barriers to Trade, and Sanitary. All the subsidiary bodies shall report to the Sub- Committee.
3. Each Party has the right to be represented in the Sub-Committee. The Sub- Committee shall act by consensus.
4. The Sub-Committee shall meet at least every two years or more frequently if so agreed by the Parties. The meetings of the Sub-Committee shall be chaired jointly by Mauritius and India.
5. The Parties shall examine any difficulties that might arise in their trade and shall endeavour to seek appropriate solutions through dialogue and consultations.
