Temporary Absence from Program. This section applies to all residential program categories except emergency shelter care. Any absences from emergency shelter care will constitute a new admission.

Temporary Absence from Program a. If a Child placed for xxxxxx care services with the Contractor runs away or otherwise leaves the xxxxxx home without proper authorization or supervision, or is admitted to a hospital (this includes a physical or an acute psychiatric stay) and there is the intent of the Placing Agency for the Child to return to the xxxxxx home, the Contractor shall hold the room and bed in the home which is available for the Child’s return for up to five (5) calendar days after the Child has been absent from the xxxxxx home overnight, unless otherwise directed by the Placing Agency. If a Child has run away and is located within the five (5) day bed hold period and placed elsewhere, the bed hold will end as of the day the Child is placed elsewhere. The bed hold will end for a Child admitted to the hospital if the Child is discharged from the hospital within the five (5) days and placed elsewhere. Any subsequent bed holds requested within thirty days of the initial bed hold request require DCS Deputy Director of Child Welfare Services approval. To bill for the bed hold, there must be intent by the Placing Agency for the Child to return to the xxxxxx home. If the Child does not return to the program within five (5) consecutive days of absence, the Contractor will release the room or bed to which the Child was assigned and terminate the per diem charge for the Child at the xxxxxx home.

If a Child placed with the Contractor leaves the facility for the purpose of visits with a licensed xxxxxx home, DCS will pay the Contractor for the visit days which have been approved by DCS even if DCS is also paying the xxxxxx home.

D. If a Child placed for xxxxxx care with the Contractor leaves the home for the purpose of pre- adoptive visits with a home that is licensed, DCS will pay the Contractor for the visit days which have been approved by DCS even if DCS is also paying the pre-adoptive home.

  • TEMPORARY LEAVE OF ABSENCE A. Members shall be entitled to the following temporary leaves of absence with full pay each school year. Such days of temporary leave must be taken as either one-half (1/2) or one (1) full working day. No personal leaves of absence shall be taken immediately prior to or immediately after holidays or vacations. Any exceptions must be requested in writing to the Superintendent or his designee and must have written approval.

  • ABSENCE FROM WORK Subject to the trust deed to the fund of which an employee is a member, the following provisions will apply.

The period of vacation so displaced shall be taken at a mutually agreed time. An employee intending to claim displaced vacation leave must advise the Employer and provide necessary documentation within seven (7) days of returning to work.

  • Temporary Leave Teachers who are members of UTW, at the request of UTW, shall be granted leave to participate in certain UTW activities subject to and in accordance with policies of the Board and administrative guidelines.

  • Excused Absences Absences will be excused only under the following circumstances.

The period of vacation so displaced shall either be added to the vacation or reinstated for use at a later date, at the employee's option, as mutually agreed.

  • Temporary Layoff The Employer may temporarily layoff an employee for up to ninety (90) days due to an unanticipated loss of funding, revenue shortfall, lack of work, shortage of material or equipment, or other unexpected or unusual reasons. An employee will normally receive seven (7) days notice of a temporary layoff.
