Temporary Total Disablement. Conditions 1. If the benefit for death is not covered and an accident results in your death within twelve (12) months following the date of the accident, then no claim will be payable, other than for temporary total disablement for any applicable period prior to death. 2. If the benefit for death is covered and an accident results in your death within twelve (12) months following the date of the accident and prior to the definite settlement of the benefit for disablement provided for under items 2 to 4 above, the benefit payable will be the maximum sum stated in the ‘Schedule of Benefits’ under item 1 – death in addition to any temporary total disablement already paid. 3. Any benefit for permanent total disablement or permanent partial disablement will not become payable before the expiry of twelve (12) months following the date of onset of disability arising from a bodily injury. In the event your partial disablement becomes total, the only benefit payable will be the maximum sum stated in the ‘Schedule of Benefits’ under item 2 – permanent total disablement in addition to any temporary total disablement already paid. 4. If the benefit for death is covered, this benefit will also be payable in the event of your disappearance. We will only provide this benefit if: a) your body is not found within twelve (12) months of your disappearance, and sufficient evidence is produced, that leads us inevitably to the conclusion that you have sustained bodily injury and that such injury has caused your death; and b) the person or persons to whom such sum is paid will sign an undertaking to refund such sum to us if

Temporary Total Disablement. Temporary disablement which entirely prevents the Insured Person from engaging in their normal Occupation with the Policyholder. The Benefit Period and the Deferment Period are as stated in the Schedule of Benefits.
Temporary Total Disablement. The Benefit under Item 8 Temporary Total Disablement and Item 9 Temporary Partial Disablement is only payable if the Insured Person is over 16 years of age and is in full time gainful employment at the time of Bodily Injury. The maximum amount payable shall be the amount shown in the applicable Cover Level, or the average net weekly income of the Insured Person in the 26 weeks preceding Bodily Injury based on their Annual Salary, whichever is the lesser amount. If the Insured Person is in receipt of social welfare payments or income from any other sources following Bodily Injury resulting in Temporary Total Disablement, We will reduce our payments by these amounts to ensure the maximum amount payable does not exceed the Insured Persons net average weekly income in the 26 weeks preceding Bodily Injury. The payment of the Benefit of Item 8 - Temporary Total Disablement and Item 9 - Temporary Partial Disablement shall only commence at the end of the Deferment Period and is only payable up to the Benefit Period but always subject to the Maximum Benefit Period. Furthermore, the payment of the Benefit of Item 8 - Temporary Total Disablement and Item 9 Temporary Partial Disablement will not apply concurrently in respect of the same claim for Bodily Injury. Temporary Total Disablement. If during the Policy Year, the Insured Person sustains Injury which directly results in Temporary Total Disablement which completely prevents the Insured Person from performing each and every duty pertaining to employment or Occupation, then We will pay a weekly benefit, provided that: i. The Temporary Total Disablement is certified by a Medical Practitioner. ii. Our liability to make payment will be limited to of 1% of the Sum Insured for each week during the period of temporary total disablement for a period as specified in the Policy Schedule not exceeding 100 weeks from the date of the Accident and if the Insured Person is disabled for a part of a week, then only a proportionate part of the weekly benefit will be payable. iii. We will not pay any amount in excess of the Sum Insured mentioned in the Policy Schedule. iv. Exclusions applicable to all sections of the Policy are listed first, followed by Exclusions applicable to each individual section of the Policy. 1. the Insured Person committing a criminal act or taking part or whilst engaged in civil commotions or riots of any kind; 2. the misuse of alcohol or solvents, or as a result of drugs ingested (except for drugs which are properly prescribed), or whilst driving with an alcohol level in the blood which exceeds the legal limit of the Country being visited. 3. the Insured Person travelling to any country which is or whose armed forces are engaged in War within its own borders; 4. the Insured Person being a full time member of the armed forces of any nation or international authority or a member of any reserve forces called out for permanent service; 5. the Insured Person engaging in: a. in any form of air travel, unless travelling as a fare-paying passenger in an aircraft which is provided and operated by an airline or air charter company which must be licensed for this;
Temporary Total Disablement benefits payable for a fractional part of the week will be indemnified on the basis of one-seventh of the applicable weekly benefit for each day of disablement.
