Time Off to Seek Employment. During the period of notice given by the Employer, an employee will be allowed up to one (1) days’ time off without loss of pay during each week of notice for the purpose of seeking other employment. If the employee has been allowed paid leave for more than one (1) day per week during the notice period to seek other employment, the employee will at the request of the Employer, be required to produce proof of attendance at an interview or he or she will not be paid for the time absent. For this purpose a statutory declaration will be sufficient.

  • Cyclic Year Employment The Employer may fill a position with a cyclic year appointment for positions scheduled to work less than twelve (12) full months each year, due to known, recurring periods in the annual cycle when the position is not needed. At least fifteen (15) days before the start of each annual cycle, incumbents of cyclic year positions will be informed, in writing, of their scheduled periods of leave without pay in the ensuing cycle. Such periods of leave without pay will not constitute a break in service.
