Training and Education Funds. Section 1. Availability Training and education funds shall be available for the cost of courses successfully completed and seminars taken which are related to the employment of the employee and for which the employee has received prior approval of their Department Head and the Director of Budget and Personnel. In appropriate circumstances for seminars and training sessions, employees shall not suffer any loss of pay or bear any of the fees of said sessions. Section 2. Allocations The City will pay of a maximum of $2,000 per person annually up to a total of $50,000 each year of this Agreement for tuition reimbursement. The City and the Union will meet to discuss methods of allocation or distribution should the cap be reached. Effective July 1, 2021, the per employee maximum will increase to $2,500 annually and employees will also be eligible for an annual $200 book reimbursement. Effective July 1, 2022, the per employee annual maximum will increase to $3,000 (in addition to the book reimbursement). Section 3. Cross-Training for ECC The City will provide Joint Dispatcher Certification incentive pay of $2100 per year for dispatchers who have successfully been certified as a Joint Police, Fire and EMS Dispatcher by the ECD. Certification will follow successful completion of a course of classroom training, self-study, on-the-job training, time spent performing the specific dispatch function under supervision and certification test process. An opportunity to enter the course of training will be offered to every qualified employee who requests it. However, because of the expense and time involved, only one (1) employee per work-group at a time can be accommodated in such a course of training and certification. This incentive pay will be paid weekly and included in the base. Candidates for training will be selected by the department, exercising reasonable discretion taking into account staffing needs, commitment, attendance and seniority. Selection for training shall be subject to grievance process through step 3, but not arbitrable. Effective July 1, 2021, Joint Dispatcher Certification pay will increase to $2200 per year. Effective July 1, 2022, Joint Dispatcher Certification pay will increase to $2300 per year.

  • Education Fund Full-Time and Part-Time 27.01 If the Local Union indicates to the Hospital that a special assessment of $0.03 per hour for Union education applies to all bargaining unit members, the Hospital agrees to deduct this assessment. Such assessment along with a listing of employees will be paid on a quarterly basis into a trust fund established and administered by the applicable SEIU Local Union for this purpose.

  • General Education University Program Requirements All MTA applicable courses require a grade “C” or higher

  • Training and Support Licensor shall offer installation support to the Licensee and each of the Members, including assisting with the implementation of any Licensor software. Licensor will provide appropriate training to Licensee and Member staff relating to the use of the Licensed Materials and any Licensor software. Licensor will offer reasonable levels of continuing support to assist Licensee and Members in use of the Licensed Materials, including providing help files and other appropriate user documentation in connection with the use of and access to Licensed Materials. Licensor will, at a minimum, make its personnel available by email, telephone or via the Web, or in person during Licensor’s regular business hours, Monday through Friday, for training and user access support.

  • Outreach and Education The agencies agree to coordinate, conduct joint outreach presentations, and prepare and distribute publications, when appropriate, for the regulated community of common concern. • The agencies agree to work with each other to provide a side-by-side comparison of laws with overlapping provisions and jurisdiction. • The agencies agree to provide a hyperlink on each agency’s website linking users directly to the outreach materials in areas of mutual jurisdiction and concern. • The agencies agree to jointly disseminate outreach materials to the regulated community, when appropriate. • All materials bearing the DOL or DOL/WHD name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by DOL. • All materials bearing the OEAS name, logo, or seal must be approved in advance by OEAS.

  • Resident Educator A Resident Educator is a teacher employed under a resident educator license.

  • Special Education Teachers Elementary/Secondary Special Education Coordinators shall be compensated for an extended work day in the amount of four thousand dollars ($4,000).

  • Education, Training and Experience Grade 12 and two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.
