Time Off Without Pay. Time off without pay for whatever purpose may be granted by agreement between the Employer and the Caregiver.
Time Off Without Pay. (i) for any of the purposes outlined in (1) above, additional Official Union Representatives may be granted leave; or
(ii) to meet with a grievor during the informal complaint stage and formal stages of the grievance procedure, as well as to prepare for arbitration hearings.
Time Off Without Pay. An employee may take up to a maximum of five (5) working days off without pay per year (July 1 – June 30) with the approval of the Director of Facilities. Unpaid days may be taken in half day or full day units, separately or consecutively. A request for unpaid days beyond five (5) shall be processed through the Director of Facilities to the Director of Human Resources. The Director of Human Resources, at his/her discretion, may grant or deny such request upon his/her determination that extenuating circumstances exist and that no substantial or material disruption will occur in school operations as a result of such extended unpaid leave.
Time Off Without Pay. 5.6.1. Employees of the Company who are officers of the Union or duly authorized representatives of such officers, shall be given time off without pay on request to take care of Union business provided reasonable notice is given to the immediate supervisor and further that the employee's absence will not seriously interfere with communication service. Such period for time off shall not exceed two months in any one instance.
Time Off Without Pay. Association members in good standing may, with supervisory permission and five days’ prior notice, take time off without pay without having to exhaust vacation leave balances. No employee shall exceed two shifts without pay within a calendar month.

Where the Union Shop Xxxxxxx or Union Official, in his/her official capacity, needs to leave the work place to attend to any union business he/she will, after obtaining his/her supervisor's permission to leave, punch out. In all the above instances if the Employee, Shop Xxxxxxx or Union Official requires time off (with or without pay), he/she must give his/her supervisor at least 24 hours notice of such meetings. Approval for granting time off regardless of whether such time off is to be with or without pay, shall be determined by management based on the operating needs of the Department. Paid or unpaid time shall be counted towards the 40 hour requirement beyond which the sixth and seventh day premiums are paid under Article 6, Section 3. You may cover your same-sex domestic partner (and his or her children, if any) under the Medical Plan, if: - he or she is not related to you by blood; - he or she is not eligible for coverage through Columbia as an employee; - you and your partner have lived together in a committed personal relationship for at least six consecutive months, and you expect to continue living together in a personal relationship where you have joint and reciprocal financial responsibilities; - you present two forms of documentation showing your shared financial responsibilities, such as: Under IRS regulations, you must pay the monthly payroll contributions for your partner's portion of the coverage on an after-tax basis. 2. Employees may bank no more than two (2) days of beeper time which may be taken with mutual agreement by Management and Employee. Three days prior notification by the Employee shall be required. Banked beeper time can only be used in the current year and cannot be carried over into the next. Unused beeper days will be paid at the end of each year.

Time Off Without Pay. The City agrees to allow employees who are Union officials and conducting business vital to the bargaining unit to have time off without pay. Approval will be granted upon reasonable prior notice to the department head and provided no emergency condition exists. This will also apply to delegates elected to attend a state or national conference.
