Training While On-Duty. If scheduled training occurs while on duty and consists of eight (8) hours or more; the hours of training shall constitute an entire workday, regardless of the Employee’s hours of duty. While attending training on duty and the hours of instruction are less than eight (8) hours due to circumstances such as the instructor releasing the class early from training, the Employee has the option of returning to work or using leave time of their choice to fulfill their training obligations. Scenarios: o Employee attends training that is scheduled for eight (8) hours or more. The training ends early, possibly in seven (7) hours. The Employee must use “leave time” of their choice to complete an eight (8) hour period. o An Employee attends training that is scheduled for less than eight (8) hours. The Employee shall return to duty to complete their obligation to their obligated shift hours of duty.

  • First Aid Training In the interests of the occupational safety and health of employees, the Employer will undertake an in-service program of first aid training aimed at providing a first aid officer for each department.

  • Training Period The training provided for in this article shall be given during the hours of work whenever possible. Any such training outside of working hours shall be considered voluntary unless at the request of the Employer, in which case time devoted to training shall be considered as time worked.

  • Sick Leave Reporting and Verification Employees must promptly notify their supervisor on their first day of sick leave and each day after, unless there is mutual agreement to do otherwise. If an employee is in a position where a relief replacement is necessary if they are absent, they will notify their supervisor at least two (2) hours prior to their scheduled time to report to work (excluding leave taken in accordance with the Domestic Violence Act). Unless otherwise precluded by law, the Employer has reason to suspect abuse, the Employer may require a written medical certificate for any sick leave absence. An employee returning to work after any sick leave absence may be required to provide written certification from their health care provider that the employee is able to return to work and perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Supervisor Training Topics include:

  • Trainings iv. Appointment of any length involving two (2) or more Consumers who might need to split up to join different trainings, group discussions, etc.

  • Training Time When an employee is ordered by the County to attend training, the time spent in training shall be counted as hours worked. Training which takes place during off-duty hours with attendance voluntary is not hours worked.

  • EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT AND TRAINING 1. The State agrees to provide advice and counseling to employees with respect to career advancement opportunities and agency developments which have an impact on their careers.

  • Training a. The employer, in consultation with the local, shall be responsible for developing and implementing an ongoing harassment and sexual harassment awareness program for all employees. Where a program currently exists and meets the criteria listed in this agreement, such a program shall be deemed to satisfy the provisions of this article. This awareness program shall initially be for all employees and shall be scheduled at least once annually for all new employees to attend.

  • Private Duty Nursing Services This plan covers private duty nursing services, received in your home when ordered by a physician, and performed by a certified home healthcare agency. This plan covers these services when the patient requires continuous skilled nursing observation and intervention.
