Undergraduate and Graduate Students. SECOND. Each party will select and nominate students to participate in this exchange program, in accordance with the procedures and requirements set forth by the host university. Admittance of exchange students remains within the discretion of the host university.

Undergraduate and Graduate Students. 2.2.1. Students shall be pre-selected by their home institution based on their academic excellence. The host institution shall be responsible for the final acceptance. 2.2.2. Students accepted by the host institution shall be deemed to be exchange students and shall be subject to all the rules and regulations of the host institution, and shall comply with them in the same manner as the regular students thereof. 2.2.3. Students participating in the exchange program shall be encouraged to acquire a knowledge of the language of the country of the host institution, at a level compatible with the activities they are to carry out. 2.2.4. Each student shall follow a course of studies jointly agreed between the two institutions. 2.2.5. The student’s stay shall not exceed one academic year, except in the case of double degree programs. 2.2.6. Undergraduate double accreditation programs and co-supervision of theses and dissertations shall be the object of a specific instrument to be executed between the concerned parties. 2.2.7. The institutions shall mutually agree to the number of students to be involved in the exchange program. 2.2.8. Health insurance coverage must be arranged by the student in his/her country of origin before his/her arrival at the host institution. 2.2. Members of the technical-administrative staff: 2.3.1. For the purpose of encouraging the exchange of administrative experience and knowledge in fields of common interests, the institutions may select members of their technical-administrative staff to take part in the exchange program. 2.3.2. Health insurance coverage must be arranged by the staff member in his/her country of origin. 2.3.3. Salaries shall be paid by the institution of origin. 2.3.4. The activities conducted during the exchange period shall be consistent with the professional activities of the staff member at his/her institution of origin, and shall generate a report, to be submitted to the host institution and to the institution of origin.
Undergraduate and Graduate Students. (1) Australian undergraduates and Austrian diploma students, and graduate students from both countries, on direct exchange on the basis of pertinent agreements for periods of a semester or more and who remain validly enrolled for a degree or provide evidence of a formal leave of absence or exmatriculation by the home institution as participants of the exchange agreement and have paid any compulsory fees and charges in the home institution will not be required to pay additional tuition fees in the host institutions. (2) Normally exchanges will be on a basis of parity of numbers but partner institutions may vary the balance as may be mutually agreed. (3) The host institutions will provide to the home institution a statement/transcript of study undertaken and/or credit point achievements of each exchange student, in an agreed form.

  • Distance Education 7.13.1 Expanding student access, not increasing productivity or enrollment, shall be the primary determining factor when a decision is made to schedule a distance education course. There will be no reduction in force of faculty (as defined in Article XXIII of this Agreement) as a result of the District’s participation in distance education. 7.13.2 Courses considered to be offered as distance education shall be defined in accordance with the Board of Governors’ Title 5 Regulations and Guidelines. Generally, this definition refers to courses where the instructor and student are separated by distance and interact through the assistance of communication technology (reference section 55370 of Title 5 California Code of Regulations). The determination of which courses in the curriculum may be offered in a distance education format, in addition to instructor/student contact requirements, shall be in accordance with the Title 5 California Code of Regulations.
