Underground Service Alert. Prior to any commencement of underground work by either Party, Underground Service Alert shall be notified in accordance with California law by such Party or its contractor. In addition, MTA shall cause its Contractors to ascertain from Utility and plainly xxxx before any excavations are made and during all time that work is being performed by MTA's Contractors in such area, the exact location of all Utility Facilities which may be below the surface of the ground or otherwise not plainly visible, as identified by Utility. Except as provided in the Design for the Rearrangement of Utility Facilities or as otherwise approved by Utility, MTA and its contractors shall not interfere with the operation of Utility Facilities. If any other Utility Facilities are damaged by MTA's Contractors in the course of construction work, Utility shall immediately repair the damage as required to maintain service to its customers and, except as otherwise set forth in Section 2.2, MTA shall reimburse, or shall cause its Contractor to reimburse, Utility for its actual and reasonable costs incurred to repair the damaged Utility Facilities (or, if approved by both MTA and Utility, MTA's Contractor shall repair the damage at no cost to Utility (except as otherwise set forth in Section 2.2). If any of MTA's property is damaged by Utility or its contractors in the course of its construction work, Utility shall immediately report such damage to MTA and shall repair the damage at its sole cost to the reasonable satisfaction of MTA or, at MTA's election, MTA shall cause such damage to be repaired and Utility promptly shall reimburse MTA for MTA's actual and reasonable costs incurred in connection with such repair.

Underground Service Alert. Developer or Developer’s Contractor must comply with the Underground Service Alert of Southern California (Digalert) procedures when performing any excavation and comply with California Government Code Section 4216 governing excavation in Cali- fornia. In addition, District approval must be given for excavation around facilities designated as “Stand By Required” as located in the proposed work area.
Underground Service Alert. Licensee warrants and represents to City that Licensee is presently a member in good standing with the Underground Service Alert of Northern California and Nevada (“USA North 811”). Licensee shall maintain and keep current its membership in USA North 811 throughout the Term. Prior to any excavation performed in the Streets, Licensee shall observe and perform all notice and other obligations required under applicable Laws, which includes, without limitation, California Government Code §§ 4216 et seq., as may be amended or superseded.
Underground Service Alert. Licensee warrants and represents to City that Licensee is presently a member in good standing with the Underground Service Alert of Southern California (“DigAlert”). Licensee shall maintain and keep current its membership in DigAlert throughout the Term. Prior to any excavation performed in the Streets, Licensee shall observe and perform all notice and other obligations required under applicable Laws, which includes, without limitation, California Government Code §§ 4216 et seq., as may be amended or superseded.
Underground Service Alert. The Contractor shall be the designated City representative in response to all Underground Service Alert (USA) requests/notices or at the request of City staff for the marking and protection of traffic signal underground facilities such as traffic signal and electrical conduit, interconnect facilities, loops, and other appurtenant equipment which might conflict with other right-of-way construction or repairs. The Contractor shall be responsible for equipping its technicians with the proper locating devices and for maintaining an up-to-date or current inventory of as-builts (City to provide a set of its current records) for these facilities including field verification using these locating devices. All updates shall be transmitted to the City in a format adequate for its records. In the event underground equipment is damaged by construction due to the Contractor's failure to properly xxxx the underground facilities per the records or reasonable effort using the appropriate equipment as determined by the City Engineer, the costs for repairs shall be the sole responsibility of the Contractor for facilities which were not properly marked. It shall also be the Contractor’s responsibility to contact requesting party in the event the scope of work is vague or incomplete.
Underground Service Alert. Each subcontractor will be responsible for a daily update of As-Built drawings entered on to the job-site copy of the plans located in the job office. Upon commencement of work, each subcontractor will be responsible for the locations of existing and new installations of other trades and utilities, call Underground Service Alert at (000) 000-0000 for assistance in locating underground utilities. This practice is beneficial to all parties involved, is required by the specifications, and should be adhered to daily. In addition, if Xxxxxx Construction, Inc. is providing survey stakes for your work, it is your work, it is your responsibility to request and to protect these stakes.
Underground Service Alert. Licensee warrants and represents to the City that Licensee is presently a member in good standing with the Oregon Utility Notification Center (“OUNC”). Licensee shall maintain and keep current its membership in the OUNC throughout the Term. Licensee shall register Licensee’s underground Equipment and underground utility infrastructure associated with the License Area with the OUNC in accordance with applicable Laws. Prior to any excavation performed in the Public Rights-of-Way, Licensee shall observe and perform all notice, utility locate, and other obligations required under applicable Laws, which includes, without limitation, contacting the OUNC or other entity or organization charged with maintaining and/or safeguarding the underground utility infrastructure from damage.
Underground Service Alert. Permittee must notify Underground Service Alert (USA) at 800‐642‐2444 or 1‐800‐227‐2600 at least 48 hours in advance of start of work for location of underground utilities.
Underground Service Alert a. Before commencing any excavation, the Contractor shall obtain an Underground Service Alert (USA) inquiry identification number by calling (000) 000-0000.
